ATLANTIC DISTRICT TIER II QUALIFIERS (14/16/18AA)

The AAHA has approved the following District Tournament formats; 2 teams from the Sanctioned leagues and 2 teams from the At-Large Tier II teams, who have agreed to advance their teams through a format within the AHF.

  • Qualification: The PA Tier II/ AA qualifier will be 2 from the DVHL and 2 At-large teams
    • At-Large teams have agreed to advance their teams through a format within the AHF
    • AHF Representation will be based on overall regular season KRACH Ratings
    • DE as necessary
  • Playoff Format:
    • Teams will compete in a 4 team round robin
      • Teams will be seeded by MyHockeyRankings.com
    • Top 2 teams in points in this qualifier round advance to the best of three championships
    • Winner of the championship advances to Nationals
  • Qualification: The NJ Tier II/ AA qualifier will be 2 from the NJYHL and 2 At-large teams
    • At-Large teams have agreed to advance their teams through a format within the AHF
    • AHF Representation will be based on overall regular season KRACH Ratings
  • Playoff Format:
    • Teams will compete in a 4 team round robin
      • The 3 and 4 seeds by MyHockeyRankings.com
    • Top 2 teams in points in this qualifier round advance to the best of three championships
    • Winner of the championship advances to Nationals

ATLANTIC DISTRICT TIER II AFFILIATE CHAMPIONSHIP

  • Qualification:
    • Top two teams (4 teams)at each level from each sanctioned league (DVHL &
      NJYHL)
    • Top two PA/DE at large and top two NJ at large at each level (4 teams)
      • At-Large teams have agreed to advance their teams through a format
        within the AHF
      • AHF Representation will be based on overall regular season KRACH Ratings
  • Playoff Format:
    • 8 team-2 pool round robin with a championship (same format/seeding as last
      year)
    • Winners advance to a championship game
  • Qualification: 
    • Top team (2 teams) at each level from each sanctioned league (DVHL & NJYHL)
    • Top PA/DE at large and top NJ at large at each level (2 teams)
      • At-Large teams have agreed to advance their teams through a format within the AHF
      • AHF Representation will be based on overall regular season KRACH Ratings
  • Playoff Format:
    • 4 team-pool round robin with a championship (same format/seeding as last
      year)
    • Winners advance to a championship game
