U10 A Gold

Royals Hockey Club National: Royals HC came to play this past weekend, going a perfect 3-0-0 and vaulted themselves into the U10 A Gold top five in the standings. They boasted a lethal offense and steady defense, outscoring its opponents 26-4. They were led offensively by Declan Kiley and his seven goals and eleven points while goaltender Logan Mitchell made over 30 saves on the weekend.

Suffolk P.A.L Silver Knights: The Silver Knights saw great success this past weekend, winning all four of its showcase games. The team did an excellent job of neutralizing opponents’ offense, allowing two or fewer goals in three of its four games. Nicholas Oppedisano led the way with a breakout performance offensively, scoring six goals in the four games while goaltender Liam Vanderbeek made over 20 saves in each of the wins for his team.

St. James: St. James stayed in the top ten of the U10 A Gold standings by going 2-2-0 this past weekend. The team’s two wins were impressive, using strong third periods to close out its opponents. Its first win was a 2-1 victory over the North Jersey Aspen Kings Yellow that saw St. James outshoot the Kings 44-20. Charles Mason’s clutch third period goal made the difference as the offense never gave up. St. James’ second win against Team Philadelphia showed how opportunistic the team can be, scoring seven goals on 22 shots in a 7-4 win. Once again, the team got big performances in the third from Mason (goal) and Zachary Brown (goal, assist) in that frame.

U10 A Silver

Maryland Jr. Black Bears White: The top team in the U10 A Silver standings showed why it has earned that spot, going 4-0-0 and putting on an offensive showcase for the ages. The Black Bears outscored its opponents 46-8 and put out an all-around impressive performance on both ends of the ice. William Pittman led the way offensively with 14 goals and 20 points in the four games while goaltender Stephen Pipe III recorded his fourth shutout of the season with a win over the Philadelphia Blazers.

Tomorrow’s Ice North Stars Red: Tomorrow’s Ice North Stars Red stayed undefeated on the season by winning all three of its games this past weekend. They not only got great offensive production up and down the lineup (highlighted by Emmett Schwanke’s six goals) but played amazing defensively. The North Stars let up only one goal in each game thanks to great defense and excellent goaltending.

Ashburn Xtreme 2: Ashburn continues its impressive season as the team went 4-0-0 this past weekend. They outscored its opponents 25-8 as the team showed how resilient they could be. In its final game of the showcase against Brick Hockey Club Green, Ashburn trailed heading into the third period 3-2. However, a four-goal outburst in the third period (led by a hattrick from Brayden Flowers) allowed them to complete the comeback for a 6-4 win.
