Here are your Atlantic Hockey Federation Players of the Week and Peak Performer ending December 3rd, 2023. This weekly feature, running throughout the 2023-24 season, pays tribute to outstanding players across all divisions. Our honorees are selected from player nominations submitted by their respective coaches. 9U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Charles Sgrillo
- Team: Royals
- Player’s Name: Mason Fox
- Jersey Number: 92
- Position: Forward
- Mason played a complete game this weekend. Playing center he showed his teammates what it takes to play a 200 foot game. His back checking and pursuit of the puck was excellent and he kept his cool when under pressure.
10U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Al Lewis
- Team: Hollydell Hurricanes
- Player’s Name: Santino Nastase
- Jersey Number: 81
- Position: Forward
- Santino is an offensive powerhouse, but it’s his back checking, shot blocking, and support in our own zone that makes him our player of the week submission. Santino blocked over ten shots in two games. On Sunday, he dove and blocked a sure goal that was then carried up ice for a crucial goal for our team. Santino does whatever it takes to win.
10U Lemieux Division: Nominating Coach: John Bergstrasser

- Position: Defense
- Zach had 2 strong games on D to help his team with 2 big wins. Not only did he contribute with a goal and some helpers for his teammates his defensive play helped shut down the other teams offense.
10U McDavid Division: Nominating Coach: Jason Kellam

- Position: Forward
- Landon had great two way play this weekend. His forechecking and back checking along with his ability to shoot or pass, played a big role in helping our team record two wins.
11U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Shawn McMullen

- Player’s Name: Kieran Prozorov
- Jersey Number: 91
- Position: Center
- Kieran had a dominant performance this weekend netting two goals in as many games. He also controlled play and was a big reason the Royals maintained possession throughout the game. He has taken his game to a new level this weekend and it’s exciting to watch him develop into a true 2-way threat.
12U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Kyle Brightbill

- Position: Forward
- Mason comes ready to play every game and creates so many scoring chances for us with his forechecking. Although he doesn’t get all the point stats his work in the corners is noticeable to all the coaches. A true team player and Captain for our team.

- Joe played great all weekend. He worked hard and was a good teammate. His contributions helped us win both games!
12U Gretzky Division: Nominating Coach: Michael Castiglia

- Clayton played great in both games this weekend. Registered a hat trick and 2 assists. Great job!
12U McDavid Division: Nominating Coach: Paul Rohanna

- Position: Defense
- Sometimes the Player of the Week isn’t about the amount of points one achieves, but the impact one can have on their teammates. With his team down 4-0 going into the 3rd period, Paulie fired up his teammates with a speech right out of a Rocky movie. It was amazing to see the team’s eyes light up and hit the ice with passion after the break. The Hurricanes went on to score the next 6 goals and secure the win 6-4. That win put them in the tournament championship game. Sometimes all it takes is one voice to create big change.

- Sab had a strong weekend filling the stat sheet with multiple goals and assists working hard at both ends of the ice. Great job Sab!
14U AA Division: Nominating Coach: John Musella

- Connor struggled early in the year but has really stepped up lately and found his game. He is playing with confidence and making big contributions as a new member of the team.
14U Lemieux Division: Nominating Coach: Brian Murphy

- Corinne delivered an outstanding performance in the game, scoring two goals, including the decisive game-winner in a closely contested 1-goal match! Her leadership was evident through exemplary efforts on both the backcheck and forecheck, showcasing a well-rounded contribution that extended beyond goal production.
14U Gretzky Division: Nominating Coach: Sal Capone

- Ethan played a great two at game, chipped in with 2 goals and 3 assists for a 2-0 weekend.
14U McDavid Division: Nominating Coach: Ashton Deist
- Team: York Devils
- Player’s Name: Greyson McFadden

- Position: Forward
- Greyson may not have the most points game in and game out for the Devils, but is by far the hardest worker on the team. The goals and assists he puts up are always key moments of the game and they are always results of the tremendous effort he puts forth every shift. He leads his team by example, on and off the ice. He continues to impress every week with his team play and coachable attitude! Greyson is every coaches dream to be on their team!
16U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Peter Muehlbronner

- Position: Forward
- “Chris has quietly worked his way to the top 5 points getters on our team. Saturdays game-winning power play goal was a great start to the weekend. Then to tally a second goal for the weekend early in Sundays game gave our team the edge to go 2-0 for the weekend. Chris is the kind of player coaches love – quite, respectful, hardworking, focused, and always a go-to option whatever the need.”
16U Lemieux Division: Nominating Coach: Scott Harrington

- Always is one of the highest competing players every shift. Sundays game was one that was by far Landon’s best game with a big shorthanded goal to tie the game in the third period to help fuel the win.

- Liam scored 2 goals in both of our games this weekend and added on 2 assists for 6 points. His line scored 11 points this weekend to propel us to 2 much-needed wins.

- Logan played a long tough weekend. 10 skaters on the team. He was able to force the play in the other direction. Scored Shorthanded. Scored a Game Winning Goal. Scored the lone goal in a tough loss after playing just two hours prior. Fought along the boards to move the puck out of the zone. Raced back on the backcheck to prevent breakouts, blocking shots and staying out of the penalty box. He did everything asked of him and more.
