Here are your Atlantic Hockey Federation Players of the Week and Peak Performer ending January 7th, 2024. This weekly feature, running throughout the 2023-24 season, pays tribute to outstanding players across all divisions. Our honorees are selected from player nominations submitted by their respective coaches. 9U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Jason Ingraham

- Player’s Name: Owen Kennedy
- Jersey Number: 32
- Position: Forward
- Owen scored his first goal over the weekend for his team. This is his first year on travel, Hockey, and he is progressing very well. He works hard, not only for himself but for his team. Congratulations to Owen on his first goal this season.
10U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Al Lewis
- Team: Hollydell Hurricanes
- Player’s Name: Austin Datz
- Jersey Number: 22
- Position: Forward
- Austin was the primary reason our team went 1-0-1 this weekend. His hat trick on Saturday represented all three of our team goals in a 4-3 OT loss. His playmaking and backchecking on Sunday helped lead our team to a 5-2 win. Austin helped to kill every PK that we faced Sunday.
10U Lemieux Division: Nominating Coach: Matthew Lengyel
- Team: PAL Blue Knights
- Player’s Name: Bryce Lengyel
- Jersey Number: 78
- Position: Goalie
- Had a total of 59 shots on goal, worked very hard to fight for the win, and saved 10 breakaways and 3 two-on-0’s for a win of 5 to 4 against the Hawks.
10U Gretzky Division: Nominating Coach: Peter Crocker
- Team: Royals
- Player’s Name: Jude Terzella
- Jersey Number: 93
- Position: Forward
- Coming back from a losing 3-1 goal game in the 3rd period, Jude helped his team with a goal and an assist to tie the game with 1:42 minutes left on the clock. Then he gave the game-winning pass in overtime to lead the Royals to victory. The Royals really played some great Hockey this weekend with Jude Terzella leading the charge. Let’s go Royals!
10U McDavid Division: Nominating Coach: Chris Horan

- Position: Forward
- Julius had an outstanding weekend and was instrumental in the decisive win over the Ducks.
11U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Tom Fagan

- Ben played really hard at the center position, helping his team fight back in both games they played this weekend with a goal in each game.
12U Lemieux Division: Nominating Coach: Vlad Bortchevsky

- Position: Defense
- Blake is a standout defenseman, who always puts forth 100% effort every time he is on the ice. Blake’s aggressive play in the defensive zone and great offensive abilities make him a very versatile member of the team.
12U Gretzky Division: Nominating Coach: Justin Marksamer
- Team: Tomorrow’s Ice Selects
- Player’s Name: Emmett Gunnar Schwanke

- Position: Forward
- Gunnar generated fantastic offense for the Selects all weekend. Some great snipes (including a hat trick on Sun), nice passes, and good two-way hockey all weekend long helped bring two more wins for Tomorrow’s Ice.
12U McDavid Division: Nominating Coach: John Fields
- Team: Valley Forge Colonials
- Player’s Name: Teddy Skelton

- Teddy played well the first game this weekend, but he really shined against the top team in our division on Sunday making 42 saves in a tough 2-1 loss.
14U AA Division: Nominating Coach: John Musella
- Team: Lehigh Valley Phantoms
- Player’s Name: Garrett Riffert
- Jersey Number: 53
- Position: Forward
- Garrett has been working hard and is really starting to hit his stride at the right time for us. Coming off a tough loss on Saturday, he had a big hat trick and added an assist in Sunday’s game.
14U Lemieux Division: Nominating Coach: Jason Miller
- Team: Grundy Senators
- Player’s Name: Danny Sweeney
- Jersey Number: 73
- Position: Defense
- Danny plays a hard-nosed brand of defense game in and game out. He pitches in offensively when his team needs it, and this weekend was a perfect example of that.

- Michael had a great offensive weekend along with great PK shifts. He had 7 goals and 2 assists to help lead the team to a 2-1 weekend.
14U McDavid Division: Nominating Coach: Chris Schache

- Ethan came out hitting the first weekend of the new year on fire. Saturday in 2 games he led his team to both victories in the double header putting up 3 goals and 3 assists for six points between the 2 games.
15U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Chris Sharamatew

- Player’s Name: Tyler Shearn
- Jersey Number: 18
- Position: Forward
- Tyler came up big this weekend with 3 goals and an assist on Saturday, in a two-game doubleheader against a very good Jags team to help our team get win #18 and 19. Tyler has been one of our most consistent players and has been counted on all season; he plays in all situations and has always given 110%. A team could never ask for more of a player. Congrats Ty, you deserve it.
16U AA Division: Nominating Coach: Brandon Van Scoy

- Player’s Name: Brody Polacek
- Jersey Number: 10
- Position: Forward
- Polacek stood out amidst the team this weekend, leading by example through his communication skills while proving himself on the ice. Polacek earned himself another hat trick during the game! His positive energy on the bench motivates his teammates amid diversity or tough games.
16U Lemieux Division: Nominating Coach: Michael Hydeck

- Player’s Name: Luke Vedder

- Position: Goalie
- Both games were on Sunday. Luke had amazing two games, especially the second game on Sunday evening; he pulled out some amazing saves our offense just couldn’t get it done. Check out the game and his saves, amazing! The second game had more crazy play.
8U AAA Division: Nominating Coach: Oktay Armagan

- Everett had a HATTRICK with some great passes from his teammates. He also had 4 blocked shots to help round out his game.
8U Beginner Division: Nominating Coach: Jeff Koss

- Victor was happy to jump in on defense this past weekend, as well as finding the back of the net to jump-start the team. In his second year now, Victor shows up to every practice and game ready to go and is showing a growing confidence with his skating and puck handling.
