The AHF announces the Players of the Week for the week ending January 29th, 2023.  The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2022-23 season that honors players in all divisions. Only players that are nominated by their respective teams are considered.

“Matthew played one game in goal and two games as a forward and he was our best player especially at the forward position.” said Coach Steve Hallman.

Player: Timmy Maxwell (G) – Games: 3, Goals Against: 15, Saves: 111

“Timmy made his 1000th Save of the Year this weekend! He has been amazing all year.” said Coach Nicholas Juisti.

Player: Jack Farina (F) – Games: 1, Goals: 3, Assists: 2

“Jack had a great game, putting in three goals and moving the puck for two assists. Jack’s hard work and never quit attitude makes him a strong leader on our team.” said Coach Daniel Pieters.

Player: Brett Nolan (F) – Games: 3, Goals: 3, Assists: 0

“Brett had a great 3 game weekend chipping in 3 goals. He went to the dirty areas and battled with all he had. He was a force in front of the opposing team’s net and in the corners. All in all a great effort from Brett.” said Coach Patrick Porkka.

“Bray was a force on the ice this weekend, both putting pucks in the net and setting up his teammates helping us to a 2-0 record. Great work Bray!” said Coach Mark Krull.

Player: Cameron Ridgway (D) – Games: 2, Goals: 2, Assists: 1

“Cam had an amazing weekend with 2 goals and 1 assist.  Every time Cam hits the ice he gives it his all and always improves. Overall, he is an amazing player.” said Coach Ben Ansuini.

“Huge HO win over Avalanche and passed the 100 point mark on the season. Congrats!” said Coach David Ball.

Player: Eddie Holst (F) – Games: 2, Goals: 1, Assists: 1

“If there was a category for the team’s most improved player, Eddie would be it. He communicates as well as any player that I have coached, and his attitude influences the team in many ways. He has become a very good player and an even better young man.” said Coach Ryan Sheehan.

“McKay had a great weekend setting the tempo in both games this weekend. He was either blocking shots, taking the body, or pushing the play each shift on the ice.” said Coach Daniel Donegan.

“He had points in every game this weekend, 4 goals (including a game winner) and 4 assists in 3 games.” said Coach Swede Farling.

“Darren was playing a physical aggressive game, scored 4 goals and contributed 5 assists in two league game wins vs. the Blazers and Royals Gold this past weekend.” said Coach Daryl Sporer.

“Sean was huge for us this weekend in two important wins. He had a big goal for us on Saturday in a close one, followed by 2 goals and an assist (all on the power play) in a win against a very good Blazers team. On top of the scoring, Sean does so much for us that goes unnoticed, especially on the backcheck and in the D-zone.” said Coach Frank Blust.
