The AHF announces the Players of the Week for the week ending January 29th, 2023. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2022-23 season that honors players in all divisions. Only players that are nominated by their respective teams are considered.

“The Hurricanes went on to win 6-5 thanks to goalie Joe Chapowski’s game winning glove save! The stakes were high in this battle of a game against a higher ranked team. The scores went back and forth and ultimately came down to a shoot out. At the final shootout attempt, a stoic Joe Chapowski makes a sweet glove save for the game winner! WELL DONE SMOKIN’ JOE!” said Coach Paul Rohanna.

“This weekend Patrick stepped up in key moments of the games. He was able to provide an offensive spark when we needed it most. In addition, he played shut down defense throughout the games.” said Coach Vincent Scala.

“Cooper has been a leader on our team all year. He helped set the standard for a team learning about consistent work ethic. His skills have developed immensely and it is leading to more scoring opportunities for himself and his linemates.” said Coach John Fields.

“Stephen has done a great job playing center this entire season. He has really focused on being relentless on the puck while avoiding penalties. This change alone has led to greater success for his line and the team. On top of this his work ethic is stellar and he always is trying to improve his offensive game.” said Coach John Fields.

“Jack played a huge role in our victory Sunday morning. Jack was credited with 2 goals and 1 assist, for one of his most productive games of the season. Jack has been a steady force for our team all year and it was nice to see him be rewarded for it with a multiple-point game this weekend.” said Coach Evan Calendrillo.

“Matt had an 11 point weekend, including 9 assists (8 of them primary assists) helping us to a 2-1 weekend. On Sunday alone, Matt had 5 assists and now he now has 54 assists in 35 games, leading all of the AHF by 10 assists.” said Coach Frank Blust.
