This weekend in the Atlantic Hockey Federation brought a full slate of hockey with teams hitting the ice across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. From dominant shutouts to a 16-goal thriller, there was no shortage of action on the ice.

Among the standout performances were the NJ Jets 16U Gretzky with a 14-0 win, back-to-back shutouts from Lehigh Valley Phantoms 10U Lemieux, two victories for the Jersey Colts 18AA, and Skylands Kings 10U McDavid’s thrilling 9-7 win. 

As the season got underway, it was a busy two days of hockey with an action-packed weekend from the opening puck drop Saturday morning through Sunday’s final games.

The weekend also saw some tightly-contested matchups. NJ Jets 16AA White and Red Bank Generals 16AA battled to a 1-1 final, providing one of Sunday’s tightest matchups. The NJ Jets 16U Lemieux also finished the weekend on a high note with a 3-2 victory over the Montclair Blues 16U Lemieux.

Jeremy Emmel of the Jersey Colts 18AA was the weekend’s leading scorer, producing 8 points in two games with 4 goals and 4 assists. Emmel’s teammate James Leary stood out as well, contributing 3 goals and 2 assists for 5 points as the Colts scored 13 goals across their two weekend victories.

Right behind him was Gerard Esposito of Toms River Blackhawks 16U Lemieux, who totaled 7 points (4G, 3A). Three Lehigh Valley Phantoms 10U Lemieux players also landed among the leaders: Isaac Caramuche (4G, 2A), Tyler Hughes (5G, 1A), and Sorin Bartholomew (3G, 3A) each finished with 6 points. Hughes’ five goals were the most of any player on the leaderboard.

Charlie Peters of the NJ Jets 12AA joined that group with 6 points (2G, 4A), while NJ Jets 16U Gretzky teammates John Eosso (1G, 4A) and Peyton Milito (4G, 1A) each put up 5 points in just one game, giving them a remarkable 5.0 points-per-game pace.

The first showcase of the season is just around the corner as the AHF 2026-27 Season Kickoff Showcase is almost underway! Starting Friday, August 28, 10-14U Gretzky, McDavid, Lemieux, 16U Gretzky, Lemieux, and 18U Gretzky teams will come together across Pennsylvania and New Jersey to kickoff the season with a bang.
