North Jersey Aspen Kings Yellow vs. Jersey Shore Wildcats Black (Gold)

One of U14 A’s top offenses meets one of U14 A’s top defenses in this U14 A Gold match-up. The 64 goals scored by the Kings is the second-highest total in U14 A goal and third amongst both divisions. Its recent five-game winning streak saw the team score at least four goals in each game. Cameron Smith leads the way offensively with 11 goals and 19 points as U14 A’s first-place team looks to start off this weekend’s showcase strong. But to do it, they’ll have to get past one of the tougher defenses with the Jersey Shore Wildcats Black who are 7-0-1 on the season. The team has only allowed 17 goals all season, the fewest goals allowed by a team that has played at least eight games in U14 A Gold. The team also can put the puck in the back of the net and are led by Brandon Clayton’s ten goals. These teams face off Friday, October 22nd at 6:10 PM ET at JSA Blue Rink.

MYHA Blue (Silver) vs. North Jersey Avalanche Blue (Gold)

It’s a Gold vs. Silver showdown you don’t want to miss! MYHA Blue is 10-0-0 on the seasons and has outscored its opponents 77-11. The team has scored eight or more goals in five of its games this season and is led by Aidan Pham and his 22 points. The Avalanche are 5-1-0 entering this weekend and on a three-game win streak, outscoring its opponents 24-4 in that span. North Jersey also boasts a top goalie duo in Jack Walsh and Daniel Canizares who both have save percentages higher than .910. These two teams play Sunday, October 24th at 4:30 PM ET in Howell Ice Arena.

Maryland Jr. Black Bears Red vs. Brick Hockey Club (Silver)

Two high-flying offenses meet in this U14 A Silver division clash. The Maryland Jr. Black Bears Red are 6-2-0 this season and have scored 36 total goals in those games. Led by Robert Turner IV and his ten points, the Black Bears look to add on to its current six-game win streak. Brick Hockey Club however is looking to spoil the fun and continue being undefeated. They are currently 4-0-0 this year and have totaled 26 goals in those games. Brody Acropolis leads the way for Brick with 11 points in the four games. These two teams will face off Saturday, October 23rd at 7:50 PM ET at Howell Ice Arena.

FORWARDS:

Jase Zangara, North Jersey Aspen Kings Blue

Jase has been having an incredible offensive season. He has scored in every game he has played in and has nine goals in his last three games. He leads U14 AA in goals (21) and points (33) and has been a big part of the Kings’ success this season.

Kyle Metzler, MYHA Blue

Kyle has played a crucial role in why MYHA Blue sits at the top of the U14 AA standings. His 14 goals are good for second in U14 AA and have recorded at least one point in all but one of the games he’s played in. With seven multi-point games under his belt, Kyle is definitely a player to keep an eye out for this weekend.

Nate Wolk, New Jersey Bandits

Nate has had an outstanding season for the Bandits so far, with his 18 points being good for fifth in U14 AA. He’s recorded 11 points in his last four games and is a big reason the Bandits offense has been lethal this year. He looks to use his hockey IQ and offensive talents this weekend at the showcase.

Jack Tanton, Delaware Ducks

Jack has been on a tear these past three games, recording six points in his last three games. He has 16 points in the 11 games he has played and has been an impact player whenever he steps on the ice. Jack is his team’s leading scorer and looks to continue his hot streak at this weekend’s showcase.

Keygan Paquette, York Devils

Keygan is an intelligent, gritty, and talented 200-foot player. His IQ with and without the puck puts him in favorable situations consistently when he is on the ice. Keygan is incredibly confident with the puck, but even more determined to win possession back for his team. Look for Keygan to win pucks off the forecheck, and play with East-West vision offensively.

DEFENSE:

Matt Dargento, New Jersey Bandits

Matt’s seven points in 11 games is good enough to be the top-scoring defenseman in all of U14 AA. He has four points in his last four games while also playing great defense in his own zone. Matt has proven to be a lethal player on both ends of the ice because of this.

Gabriel Bill, North Jersey Avalanche

Gabriel has been a staple on the blue line for the Avalanche this season. Gabriel has not only excelled defensively but also has six points in as many games including five points in the last two games.

Alex Gilleece, New Jersey Jets

Alex has proven his worth on both ends of the ice this season. Defensively, he has shown excellent hockey IQ and awareness. On the other end he has helped offensively, scoring a point in each of the last six games he has played in.

Tyler Woodall, York Devils

Tyler gives 110% everytime he steps on the ice and his work shows up on the score sheet. His five points are good enough to make him one of the top-scoring defenseman in U14 AA and has been effective on both ends of the ice.

Carson Widener, York Devils

As a 2008 birth year, Carson holds a noticeable presence on the ice. His size compliments his raw ability and skill, specifically off the rush and on the offensive blue line. Look for number 58 to create opportunities with his skating skills and his shot.

GOALIES:

Daniel Rosenstock, MYHA Blue

Daniel has been excellent in between the pipes this season. He has a total record of 5-1-0 and has two shutouts on the season. His goals-against average of 1.34 is one of the best in U14 AA and has shown excellent awareness and vision when in net.

Tyler Rounds, Ashburn Xtreme

Tyler has had a heavy workload this season, starting in eight games so far. However, he has stood tall to the task and recorded a 6-2-0 record as starter. To go along with this, his three shutouts is tied for most in U14 AA as he continues to show his value every game he plays.

Marco Nagy, Team Philadelphia

Marco has had an amazing season so far, sporting a 3-1-0 record. All three of his wins have come via shutout and it shows in his stats. His goals-against average of 1.25 and .930 save percentage are amongst the best in U14 AA. Marco’s vision and reaction time in net are a big reason for his success and has played a big role in Team Philadelphia’s success this season.

FORWARDS:

Jack DeCaprio, Brick Hockey Club

Jack has been an impact player over the past few games. He’s been red hot and a major contributor to the team’s offense during recent competition. He gives it his all every shift and works hard to make an impact for his team.

Eric Connors, Jersey Shore Wildcats Black

Eric is a flashy quick winger who is one of the offensive leaders of the team. He is quick on his feet and always hits the net, which shows in his ten points scored this season.

Jude Large, Philadelphia Blazers

Jude has great hockey sense and “sees” the ice really well. A great skater that works hard from whistle to whistle.

Bennett Kronstedt, Jersey Shore Wildcats Red

Bennett is a solid skater who is strong on faceoffs with a strong shot. He helps create offense with his vision on the ice and is excellent at utilizing his linemates. Bennett has been lights out this season, scoring ten points in eleven games.

Sean Scott, Haverford Hawks Silver

Sean’s strong net-front presence and soft hands make him a scoring threat on every shift. He also plays with a little edge that makes him difficult to compete against. His 12 points in eight games are good enough for second on the team as he continues to make an impact each game.

DEFENSE:

Brandon Dovey, Igloo Jaguars

Barndon is a stalwart defender for the Jags. An intimidating presence on the blue line, Dovey possesses a tremendous shot. He’s capable of scoring from anywhere in the offensive zone.

Noel Acevedo, Brick Hockey Club

Noel’s nifty puck skills are obvious, but it’s been his hard work on the defensive side of the puck that’s been a key to the team’s success. He has recorded three assists on the year so far.

Kyle Rabkin, Jersey Shore Wildcats Black

Kyle is not only one of the team captains, but he is a truly versatile player who plays both forward and defense. He skates very well and is terrific at finding open teammates. Kyle has recorded eight points in as many games this season.

Mathew Fritz, Philadelphia Blazers

Mathew effortlessly uses his size to clear the crease and has a slapshot that makes goalies duck. His three points on the season is good enough for second on the team in scoring.

Michael Lynch, Jersey Shore Wildcats Red

Michael is a solid two-way defenseman who not only knows when to rush the puck and be aggressive but also knows defense is his primary role and responsibility. He is strong on both sides of the puck he helps round out the defensive rotation.

GOALIES:

Drew Deich and Jonathon Dilliplane, Igloo Jaguars

Tending the nets for the Jags, this duo has been rock solid all year. Deich is a model of efficiency as he is always in a position to make a save. Equally strong, Dilliplane has shown the ability to “stand on his head” and steal a game for the Jags with his cat-quick glove. The Jags netminders have frustrated the sharpest of shooters all year long.

Lucas Yenal, Haverford Hawks

Lucas gives the Hawks a stabilizing presence in the net and always delivers the spectacular save when the Hawks are in need of a boost.

FORWARDS:

Marcus Braun, New Jersey Bandits

Marcus has been a crucial role in the Bandits’ success this season, leading all of U14 B in goals (21) and points (26). He has put up 13 goals in his last six games and works hard every shift he plays.

Scott Scranton, Team Philadelphia

Scott has been a force for Team Philadelphia this season. His 21 points are good for second-most in U14 B and has made an impact in every game he has played in.

Alex Polishko, North Jersey Aspen Kings Red

Alex has proven his worth offensively, scoring 13 goals this season. This total has him tied for second-most in U14 B. He has recorded seven points his past four games as he continues his offensive explosion this season.

Michael Santarpio, Haverford Hawks

Michael has been an impact player all season for the Hawks. He’s scored seven goals and eight points in his last three games using his offensive instinct and a wicked shot.

DEFENSE:

Lex Udell, Grundy Senators

Lex has been excellent on both ends of the ice. His ten goals and twelve points are good enough for second best amongst all U14 B defensemen as he continues to make an impact every shift he takes the ice for.

Owen Parker, Team Philadelphia

Owen has been an excellent two-way defenseman for Team Philadelphia this season. He has ten points on the season, eight have which have come in his last four games. Owen not only produces offensively but uses his great defensive instinct to keep opponents out of his team’s zone.

Tyler Rayzvikh, Brick Hockey Club

Tyler has been excellent in his own zone, using speed and skill to give opposing offenses trouble. He has also shown off his offensive flair this season too, scoring four goals and six points this year.

Kamran Maslott, New Jersey Stars

Kamran has been a reliable two-way defenseman for the Stars this season. He has used his vision and skill to his advantage to not only frustrate the opposition but score as well. Kamran has six points in as many games and process excellent awareness in the offensive zone.

GOALIES:

Colin Marzullo, New Jersey Stars

Colin has been incredible in net for the stars this year. He is tied for U14 B lead in shutouts with three and has a save percentage of .920 which is one of the best in the league. Colin has excellent reflexes and great vision on the ice which helps him succeed whenever he starts.

Max Grant, Maryland Jr. Black Bears Black

Max has been a great goalie for the Black Bears so far this season, winning three of his last five starts. He has excellent awareness that helps him track and cover pucks as well as come up with big saves when needed.

Jack Worst, New Jersey Bandits

Jack’s reflexes and puck tracking abilities have made him successful this season in the Atlantic Hockey Federation. He has two wins on the season with one of those being a shutout. Jack brings his A-game every time he steps on the ice for the Bandits.

New Jersey Stars vs. New Jersey Bandits

A new jersey battle that sees two top five teams in U14 B face off! The Stars are 8-1-0 this season and have outscored its opponents 50-17. The offense has been lights out and they’ve been led in between the pipes by Colin Marzullo, who has three shutouts on the season. The Bandits also boast a lethal offense and have scored a combined 50 goals as a team. They have four wins on the season and are led offensively by Marcus Braun and his 26 points. The two teams face off Saturday, October 23rd at 2:00 PM ET on Pro Skate Rink.

Grundy Senators vs. Rye Rangers

The Senators sit at 4-3-0 on the season and have won three of its last five games. It has a tough offense to stop with its two ten-goal scorers in Klim Belko and Lex Udell who have both recorded goals in each of the last three games. The Rye Rangers will make its showcase debut and look to make an impact right away. The two teams face off Sunday, October 24th at 4:00 PM ET at Pro Skate Olympic.

North Jersey Aspen Kings Red vs. North Jersey Skyland Kings White

It’s a battle of the Kings! Aspen enters the showcase with a 6-2-0 record and is only one of four teams to score over 40 goals total (49). Alex Polishko leads the way with 13 goals as Aspen looks to extend its five-game win streak. Skylands is 2-3-0 on the year and has been great defensively, allowing three or fewer goals in its last three games. Lucien Barca leads the way for Skylands with five points in as many games. The two teams will take the ice at 9:45 AM ET on Sunday, October 24th at Iceland rink.

Philadelphia Blazers National vs. Ashburn Xtreme – October 23, 10:00 AM

The undefeated Ashburn Xtreme (10-0-0) checks all of the boxes of a contending hockey team. High-powered offense, they have scored 103 scores, tops in the league. Fortified defense, they have conceded the fewest goals per game in the league at a measly figure of 1.4. The team is paced offensively by Bryan Wallace (31 G, 8 A) and Rylan MacCormick (26 G, 13 A). However, the Blazers (6-1-1) seek to disrupt this rhythm. They have won each of their last five games, including a perfect run of three games during the month of September. A tandem of Jackson Foster (9 G, 5 A) and Brennan McKee (4 G, 12 A) are the center of the Blazer attack and will look to cause problems for Ashburn’s defenders.

North Jersey Avalanche Blue vs. MYHA Blue – October 23, 11:50 AM

Likely the toughest test so far this season for the league leaders, undefeated MYHA Blue (12-0-0) will face upstart North Jersey (6-1-0) for each team’s first game of the showcase. MYHA owns a strong +43 goal differential over their hot start. MYHA turns to Braxton Menkiti to provide many of the points on the scoreboard, as he leads the league with 32 goals. Meanwhile, Cameron Augustoni provides the spark for the Avalanche, as he leads the team in goals (11) and points (14). North Jersey hopes to continue their stellar defensive play, as they are allowing fewer than 2 goals per game, on average. Either team can open their showcase slate with a loud statement.

New Jersey Stars Black vs. New Jersey Bandits – October 23, 1:00 PM

Good things happen to teams with good discipline. The Stars (4-4-1) and Bandits (5-3-0), two of the division’s more disciplined sides, will meet in this game. The Bandits lead the league in penalty minutes, only being assessed 24 PIM through their first nine games. Their strong will has kept them competitive against the league’s top competition, most notably MYHA Gold and Maryland Jr. Black Bears Red. The Stars have struggled as of late after a hot start, but this showcase is a perfect opportunity to get back on track.

Brick Hockey Club vs. MYHA Gold – October 24, 9:10 AM

Two very deep squads, Brick Hockey Club (4-3-1) and MYHA Gold (7-3-0) will face off on Sunday in what should prove to be a competitive game. Most of MYHA’s skaters have scored a point this season. The team hasn’t stood out in any one category of play, but have grit and a determination to win. This determination has resulted in seven of their last eight games ending in victory. Brick Hockey Club also shares the same scoring trait, with only one skater remaining scoreless. The side also seems to find another gear when playing highly touted opponents. They knocked off the Blazers and played competitively against the Maryland Jr. Black Bears Red. Time will tell if this gear will factor into this matchup.

Forwards

Cole Martinez – Grundy Senators

A pure sniper in every sense of the word, Martinez has potted 13 goals in 9 games this season. The leading scorer for the Senators, he is a reliable option for the team to convert whenever the puck finds his stick in a scoring position. He is a critical part for the Grundy game plan as well, as the team has a 3-2-1 record when Martinez is on the score sheet while they are 0-3-0 when he is held scoreless. His success normally translated to the success of his team, which reflects leadership and an influential style of play.

Braxton Menkiti – MYHA Blue

League leader in goals (32) and tied for the lead in points (39), Menkiti is the driving force of the MYHA Blue team. He has scored at least one goal in each of the 12 games he has played and has scored at least three goals in half of those games. He has scored five goals twice so far this season, including against Hollydell Hurricanes White, when he scored each of his team’s goals in a 5-0 victory. Menkiti has also displayed some physicality, registering 0.5 hits per game. Look for him to continue to be among the league leaders in scoring as long as MYHA sees continued success.

Bryan Wallace – Ashburn Xtreme

Scoring at the fastest clip of anyone in the division, Wallace is averaging nearly 4 goals per game, as he has netted 31 in only eight games. Wallace is not only gaining attention for his goal scoring, however, as he has a very well-rounded game that has been put on display thus far this season. He has also distributed the puck well to his teammates, putting up 8 assists. Wallace has also laid the body, notching 7 hits, and has made great use of his good size for the age group. He also has strong discipline, only taking one penalty this season. Excelling at every aspect of the game, Wallace is absolutely one to watch.

Defense

Charlie Berry – Rockets Hockey Club

A consistent point-per-game defenseman, Berry has emerged as a skilled two-way defenseman. He has a powerful shot from the blue line, leading to 5 goals, accompanied by 2 assists in seven games. Meanwhile, he has also led the defensive efforts of the Rockets, which has yielded four games of allowing one or fewer goals. He has only one multi-point game, but he has only been held scoreless in one game this season. Look for Berry’s consistency to continue to hold true this weekend.

Adam Hassan – New Jersey Stars Black

Not many defensive players routinely put up multi-point games with regularity, but that’s exactly what Hassan has done through his first four games. Three of his first four games with New Jersey have seen his name pop up several times in the game summary. He scored two goals against the Delaware Ducks and Capital City Vipers National while he had a 1 goal, 3 assist performance against the Suffolk P.A.L. Silver Knights. Hassan’s defensive efforts are also notable, as he has helped the team to a +20 goal differential. Hassan is developing as a very talented two-way defenseman.

Gabriel Schon – St. James

The division’s highest point scoring defenseman, Schon has scored 5 points and 5 assists in only four games. The offensive defenseman has also proven to be capable in his own end as well, helping St. James to a 3-1-0 record in those games. Against the Igloo Jaguars, Schon led the way to victory with 2 goals and 3 assists. He has also stayed out of the penalty box, which has been greatly helpful to his team’s game plan. Schon clearly has skill all over the ice and it has reflected on the score sheet.

Goalies

Mike Canning – Philadelphia Blazers National

Canning has been excellent through his first three starts of the season, posting a 3-0-0 record with a 1.67 GAA and .904 SV%. In two of his three starts, Canning has only allowed a single goal. The Blazers seem to have a little extra pep whenever Canning stands between the pipes, speaking to his attitude on and off the ice. Look for him to earn more looks in the starting lineup after a strong start

Jean-Paul Dominguez – North Jersey Avalanche Blue

Among league leaders in GAA (1.56) and SV% (.907), Dominguez has proven to be one of the top net minders in the division. Dominguez also boasts a flawless 4-0-0 record through five games. He posted a shutout against the Grundy Senators in his last appearance, saving each of the 15 shots that he faced. Dominguez doesn’t see a lot of rubber in net, credit to the defensive efforts of North Jersey, but his athleticism can be relied upon to shut down most of the shots that come his way.

Philadelphia Blazers American vs. Jersey Shore Wildcats Red – October 22, 6:50 PM

The undefeated Blazers (6-0-0) will have to work hard to keep their flawless record when they face the Wildcats (6-0-2) on Friday night. The Blazers have been off to an outstanding start on defense, only allowing 7 goals through their first six games. Each of their goalies have recorded a shutout and Jackson Gwardyak has also recorded a .923 SV% through their first two starts. The team also has scoring talent throughout the roster, headlined by Declan Henes (12 G, 11 A). The Wildcats also have a high powered offense, as scoring is distributed throughout all three forward lines. However, the offensive spark largely comes from team scoring leader, defenseman Mason Levine (5 G, 7 A). The team also has a very reliable goaltender in Maya Sturm, as they have recorded an impressive .910 SV%. Few better ways to start the weekend than this showdown.

Haverford Hawks vs. Brick Hockey Club 2 – October 23, 3:45 PM

Brick Hockey Club 2 (6-3-0) will look to continue their roll heading into this showcase when they face Haverford (7-0-0). Brick Hockey Club has won each of their last four games, including a 3-0 shutout over Tomorrow’s Ice North Stars Red in their last game. Featuring plenty of prolific forwards, three have at least five goals this season. Haverford won’t be an easy game, though, as the team has displayed talent in all aspects of the game. Every skater has an average of at least 0.5 points per game, the team has conceded fewer than two goals per game, on average, and Harrison Kool has been a force in net, cruising to a .947 SV% in their first four starts. Two deep teams will make for an entertaining game to watch.

Team Philadelphia Orange vs. Delaware Ducks 2 – October 24, 4:50 PM

Should these teams continue their momentum from earlier this season, someone’s “oh” has got to go when Philadelphia (10-0-0) and Delaware (7-0-0) close out their showcase slate. Philadelphia has three forwards with over 20 points on the season and every skater has registered at least a point this season. They stand on top of the division, and for very good reason. Delaware has registered a goal differential of +42 and has displayed great defense, only allowing 12 goals through their seven games. The team also has strong scoring depth, as every skater has at least three points. Jacob Schultz has also been outstanding in net. These two top teams are certain to put on a show.

Forwards

Jonathan Eves Jr. – Haverford Hawks

The leading scorer on the undefeated Hawks, Eves has put up 6 goals and 9 assists through his first seven games. He has scored at least a point in every game he has played and has scored multiple times in four of them. He has scored four points twice, striking for 2 goals and 2 assists against MYHA Blue and scoring a goal and 3 assists in a win over Ashburn. Eves has also been a help to Haverford through his disciplined play, not taking a penalty so far this season. His discipline allows him to stay on the ice and continue his point streak.

Noah Raymond – Delaware Ducks 2

With 11 goals through seven games, Raymond’s shooting talents have helped to propel the Ducks to an undefeated start to the season. He also has 7 assists, tying him the team lead in points. Raymond has registered two hat tricks this season, one against New Jersey Stars Green and another against Ashburn. In that Ashburn game, he also added three assists, giving him an impressive six point outburst. When he scores, he tends to score in bunches, posting four multipoint games so far this season. He has also stayed out of trouble, not committing a penalty yet this season.

Michael Regan – Hollydell Hurricanes Navy

Captain of the team and the division’s leading goal and point scorer, Regan has proven to be a leader on and off the ice. On the ice, he has scored points in eight consecutive games, dating back to August. His best performances came in consecutive wins against Ashburn on September 19. In the first game of a doubleheader, Regan registered 4 goals. He followed that sniping masterpiece with 3 goals and 2 assists in the second game. Off the ice, he has provided influential led his team to a 7-3-1 start.

Bennett Stanton – Team Philadelphia Orange

Leading the way for the division leaders in scoring, Stanton has gotten off to a hot start in scoring this season. His 18 goals are second in the division while his 22 points have positioned him in third. He has done so in only eight games, putting his scoring pace in the upper echelons in the division, and certainly the highest on the team. Despite his small size, Stanton has a physical aspect to his game, registering 4 hits while also having a playing style that contributes in ways that are not equated in the box score.

Defense

Declan Henes – Philadelphia Blazers American

One of the division’s leading scorers, Henes has established himself as one of the division’s top offensive defensemen. His scoring pace is unmatched, as he has racked up 12 goals and 11 assists in only five games. He has not played a game in which he has scored fewer than 3 points and has scored as many as 6 in a game. That 6 point outburst came back in his first game of the season, as Henes scored a hat trick and added 3 assists in a win over New Jersey Stars Green. He has also helped the Blazers to become one of the division’s best defensive sides, assisting in two shutouts.

Mason Levine – Jersey Shore Wildcats Red

Levine has flashed his talents at both ends of the ice, establishing himself as an emerging two-way defenseman. Levine has a 7-game point streak, dating back to the second game of the season. His best game of the season came against Maryland Jr. Black Bears Red as he tallied 4 assists in a 5-3 win. He is proving to be one of the best passers at the defensive position with his 7 assists, while also scoring 5 goals. He also recovers well in his own half and limits breakouts for the opposition.

Brody Stanisz – Brick Hockey Club 2

A talented two-way defenseman, Stanisz has been a standout so far this season. From the blue line, he has contributed 9 points (4 G, 5 A) in eight games, tying him for the team lead in that category. He scored two goals against Haverford earlier this season, a tough defensive squad to crack. Stanisz has also stood out in the defensive zone, locking down his assignments and preventing opposing players from getting open. His efforts have absolutely been a large part in his team’s success this season.

Goalies

Harrison Kool – Haverford Hawks

Statistically, one of the best goalies in the entire AHF, Kool has been simply remarkable through his first four starts. Two of his first four games resulted in shutouts while the others have only seen Kool allow one goal. Kool’s statline has reflected the goalie’s outstanding start; 4-0-0, 0.51 GAA, .947 SV%. Kool looks very cool in net, with a composure and willingness to allow play to happen and reacting quickly once a shot comes towards the net.

Maya Sturm – Jersey Shore Wildcats Red

Playing each of Jersey Shore’s first eight games, Sturm has locked things down for the team, cruising to a sterling 6-0-2 record. Sturm’s athleticism has really shined throughout the season, leading to a 2.25 GAA and a .910 SV%. Sturm has allowed the Wildcats to compete in many games as well, silencing 39 of 40 Maryland shots in a 6-1 victory and stopping 47 of 52 shots in a 6-5 shootout loss against Delaware. Sturm has stood strong in goal and will look to continue to do so as the season rolls on.

Forwards

Erik Mitchell – Atlantic City Sharks

The division leader in goals and points, Mitchell has had an offensive explosion to start the season. Through eight games, he has 27 goals and 35 points. This translates to a scoring pace of nearly 4 goals and 4.5 points per game. The shooting talents of Mitchell are remarkable, finding ways to score from any position in the offensive zone. Look for Mitchell and the Sharks to continue their powerful attack.

Leonard Rybakov – New Jersey Stars

Rybakov has displayed his talents as a high-scoring forward throughout this season. On offense, he is averaging 2.5 points per game (16 G, 9 A) through his first 10 games. He scored 5 points (3 G, 2 A) in a 10-6 victory over the Grundy Senators and 4 points (3 G, 1 A) in a 5-4 win over Maryland Jr. Black Bears Red. In the Maryland game, all three of his goals came in the third period, his hat trick goal serving as the game winner.

Grey Yinger – York Devils

A forward with an outstanding shot, Yinger has established his talents by leading his team in scoring. Yinger has 16 goals and 9 assists through 11 games, a good pace for the York player. He has scored two hat tricks this season, one against New Jersey and another against Jersey Shore Wildcats Red, in which he scored four times. In both of these games, his final goal was the game winner. Not only does he score with regularity, but Yinger scores when his team needs it most.

Defense

Colton Dreyfus – Royals Hockey Club National

A goal per game coming from the blue line is an excellent commodity to have, and this is exactly what the Royals have in Dreyfus. He has scored 7 goals and 4 assists in seven games this season. His offensive talents were on display right from the start, as he scored 4 goals and added an assist in the season opener vs. Jersey Shore. He is currently on a 5-game point streak and will look to extend it this weekend.

Luca Guarna – Jersey Shore Wildcats Black

A two-way defenseman gifted with a powerful shot, Guarna is the glue at the back for this Wildcats team. Through six games this season, Guarna has 11 goals and 5 assists, so he is scoring at a rate of nearly 2 goals per game. In addition to his great offensive talents, he has also shown his skill in his own half of the ice, locking down attackers and helping Jersey Shore to become one of the division’s more defensively sound teams.

Goalies

Johnny Gillin – Haverford Hawks White

An athletically gifted net minder, Gillin leads the division in several goalie categories. Over six games this season, he leads the way in GAA (0.50) and SV% (.956). He only has one official shutout, but has been in net to contribute to flawless defensive efforts three times. His best performance came in an 18-save shutout against New Jersey Bandits National, but he will look to surpass it this weekend.

Riley McIntosh – Igloo Jaguars

The Jaguar’s saving grace in the crease, McIntosh has been stellar through five games this season. In those five games, she has posted a GAA of 2.30 and SV% of .910. Standing only 4’6”, 64 lbs, Riley has to rely on pure athleticism to make stops in goal. She has done so with great success and will hope to continue to backstop the Jaguars towards the top of the league.
