The division’s top two teams are set to do battle to get their showcase under way on Saturday. Atlantic City (8-0-0) sits in second place after going undefeated through their first eight games this season. Their offensive attack has been nearly uncontainable this season, scoring 84 goals. Three players lead the way with double-digit goal tallies and at least 20 points. Haverford (9-1-0) sits in first place with outstanding defense, only allowing 9 goals through their opening 10 games. They will look to bounce back from their first loss of the season, a 4-2 decision to Hollydell Hurricanes Black in their last game, after starting the year with nine wins. In a classic battle of defensive game plan vs. offensive attack, only one can win.

Team Philadelphia vs. New Jersey Stars – October 24, 7:30 AM
Team Philadelphia (5-1-0) will hope to continue their hot start when they meet tough opposition in New Jersey (6-3-1). Philadelphia has a strong offensive attack, averaging 6 goals per game. They are led by Brooks Angelo, as they have racked up 11 goals and 6 assists to begin the season. New Jersey also has a high powered offense, scoring 61 goals through 10 games. Four forwards have at least 10 points. Leonard Rybakov leads the way with 25 points (16 G, 9 A). The first time these teams met, Philadelphia emerged with a statement win on August 28. Will they be able to repeat that result or will New Jersey respond?

Jersey Shore Wildcats Black vs. Igloo Jaguars – October 24, 10:10 AM
Two teams with 6 wins will meet on Saturday in a matchup between Jersey Shore (6-0-0) and the Igloo Jaguars (6-2-0). The Wildcats have a very strong offense, tallying 71 goals through their first six games. Every forward has at least 6 points while three have double-digit goals this season. Their attack has not been slowed once this season, as they have not scored fewer than 5 goals in a game this season. The Jaguars have a well-rounded game plan, earning a goal differential of +23. They are led offensively by Trey Frederico, as he has 10 goals and 9 assists on the season. They also have solid team defense, allowing no more than 6 goals in a game this season. This statistic will be put to the test, however, against Wildcats.
FORWARD
Shane Papaccioli, North Jersey Avalanche
With six goals and three assists in the Showcase, Papaccioli was a key component in the Avalanche’s 4-0 weekend. A natural goal-scorer, Papaccioli is second on the team with 15 goals on the season.
Eric Bieda, Maryland Jr. Black Bears
Tallying four goals and six points, Bieda was a key cog in the Jr. Black Bears Showcase. Bieda contributed on four of the five Maryland goals in the opening game on the weekend with two goals and two assists.
Daniel Donagan, Haverford Hawks
One of the Hawks most consistent players, Donagan led by example this weekend, helping out his squad with three goals in the Showcase. Donagan’s hockey IQ and balanced attack has him atop the Hawks scoring list with 20 points on the season.
Kyler Johnson, Igloo Jaguars
Johnson had himself a solid Showcase with two goals and six assists for the weekend. With solid hands and crisp vision of the ice Johnson was able to help set-up his team and helped contribute to the three victories for the Jaguars in the Showcase.
Brady Schmidt, Royals Hockey Club
While he might be one of the smaller players on the ice, Schmidt is one of the more tenacious out there. With a never-say-die attitude, Schmidt is not afraid of anyone on the ice. That helped this weekend with a goal and an assist to show for his efforts.
DEFENSE
Brody D’Alessandro, Haverford Hawks
Out there against the oppositions’ top lines, D’Alessandro was a force on the blue line, making some big plays on the defensive side. While he was responsible in his own end, D’Alessandro also provided offensively with a goal and three assists on the weekend.
Daniel Pucci, Team Philadelphia
A great first step and solid stick-handling helped Pucci to a solid offensive output. With two goals and five points, Pucci’s contribution on the scoresheet showed through the Showcase.
Josh Zdunkiewicz, Royals Hockey Club
Heads-up plays by Zdunkiewicz helped the Royals to an undefeated Showcase. His hockey IQ and solid vision of the ice allowed him to anticipate counteracts and break-up several possible breakaway attempts.
GOALIE
Aidan Pesek, MYHA Blue
Putting up a strong showing with a shutout in the first Showcase game, Pesek ended the Showcase with a 1.50 GAA and .919 save percentage. Pesek’s play helped the Blue Devils to a solid weekend and help them stay in the top three in the standings.
Chayce Turnbull, Rye Rangers
In three games, Turnbull left the Showcase with a 2.00 GAA and .903 save percentage. Turnbull used his solid lateral movement and ability to cut off the angles in order to help the Rangers to two wins in his three appearances.
FORWARD
Jake Lauterstein, Ashburn Xtreme
Lauterstein finished the Showcase with multi-point games in each of Ashburn’s four games. His seven goals and 11 points helped Ashburn go undefeated and stay at the top of the U13AA standings.
Henry Kovacs, North Jersey Avalanche
Putting up a goal-a-game, Kovac walked out of the Showcase with seven goals and ten points on the weekend. Kovacs’ goals helped the Avs finish 3-1-0 and put himself in the top-ten in divisional scoring.
Liam Ahern, New Jersey Bandits
Ahern registered at least one point in each of the four games in the Showcase, finishing with three goals and two assists on the weekend. Ahern’s balanced attack helped create goals for his teammate, while also knowing when to take the shots on net himself.
Brennan Ward, New Jersey Jets
With four goals and five points in their three games, Ward was a big part in the undefeated weekend for the Jets. His ability to drive to the net and find the chances in front, Ward has been solid for the Jets all season, leading on and off the ice.
Connor Flynn, Atlantic City Sharks
Thanks to a three assist performance in the final Showcase game, Flynn walked away this weekend with six points in four games. While he was able to set up his teammates, Flynn was able to score both goals for the Sharks in their second game on Saturday.
DEFENSE
Sean Rue, Grundy Senators
Rue was solid from the point, with three goals in the first two contests for Grundy. Rue also provided some timely blocks and solid defensive awareness for the Senators, as they won three of their four games in the Showcase.
Juno Moon, North Jersey Avalanche
More known for their defense, Moon provided two assists for the Avalanche on the weekend. However, Moon’s responsible play in the defensive zone helped the Avs limit opponents to 2.5 goals-per-game.
GOALIE
Ian Seitz, Atlantic City Sharks
Starting the weekend with a shutout, Seitz was able to complete the Showcase with a 2.00 GAA and .930 save percentage. Seitz was able to keep the Sharks in all four games, making crucial saves when called upon to do so.
Ryan Barker, Grundy Senators
Winning both the games he played, Barker was solid in the Showcase. With a 2.50 GAA and .902 save percentage, Barker played a solid part of the Senators weekend and keeping them at the top-three of the U13AA Division.
North Jersey Avalanche (4-0-0, 19 GF, 6A): A solid performance by North Jersey boosted them up to the fourth position in the U12AA standings. Both Davin Friedman and Shane Papaccioli had six goals on the weekend, while Peter McAdams and Jack DeBlinger helped the Avalanche limit the opponents to only 21 shots a game. Ryan Kovacs and Christopher Schulz teamed up for a 1.50 GAA on the weekend for the Avs.
Igloo Jaguars (3-1-0, 16 GF, 7 GA): Led by Tyler Reillo’s six goals and Kyler Johnson’s six assists, the Jaguars were able to move their way into the top-four of the U12AA standings. Solid defensive play by Owen Jenkins and Andrew Krott provided fits for the opponents, with Chase Kishler and Tyler Davis standing tall between the pipes and combining for a 1.75 GAA.
Rye Rangers (3-1-0, 20 GF, 12 GA): In their first Showcase, the Rangers put out a big display. Rogan Lester (4g, 3), Owen Nates (5g, 1a), and Liam Heffernan (2g, 3a) helped out offensively, while Dillion Sykes and Will Leahy helped on the defensive side of the puck. Chayce Turnbull was solid in net, leaving the Showcase with a 2.00 GAA on the weekend.
Maryland Jr. Black Bears (3-1-0, 14 GF, 13 GA): Maryland doubled their win total in the AHF during the Showcase, thanks in part to Eric Bieda, Gavin Monaco, and Cole Zoren putting up multi-goal games during the weekend. Maryland had plenty of contributions up and down the line-up, helping them to their three win weekend.
North Jersey Avalanche (3-1-0, 26 GF, 11 GA): Thanks to big offensive outputs by Henry Kovacs (7g, 3a), Dylan Ferlanti (3g, 5a), and Max Ruggie (4g, 1a); the Avalanche were able to get into the top-five of the U13AA Division. The defense was also strong with the team limiting the opposition’s shots to just over 14 shots a game over the four games. Much of that defense is thanks to the likes of Juno Moon, Andrew Sherland, and Maxwell Amico.
New Jersey Jets (3-0-0, 15 GF, 11 GA): Brandon Eigner and Brennan Ward were the offensive force behind the Jets’ undefeated weekend; accounting for almost half of the Jets goals. The Jets also leave the Showcase with only one blemish on their record, keeping them in the top part of the standings.
Grundy Senators (3-1-0, 19 GF, 14 GA): Playing at home gave the Senators some good vibes, as they were able to have a .750 win percentage on the Showcase. Christopher Marshall put up five goals and nine points, with Patryk Oszer (4g, 5a) and Jake Smaron (3g) playing key scoring roles in the Showcase. Ryan Barker and Lukas Chomic were busy, as they faced an average of 32 shots a game in the four games they played.
Atlantic City Sharks (2-1-1, 12 GF, 9 GA) Defense was the big part of the Sharks’ game, allowing only eight goals in regulation for the Showcase. Goalie Ian Seitz left with a 2.00 GAA and a shutout, while Luke Burns, Billy Christopher, and Connor Flynn accounted for over half of the Sharks’ goals on the weekend.
North Jersey Avalanche
The Avalanche jumped into third place in the U14 AA division of the Atlantic Hockey Federation this past weekend. How did they accomplish it? By going a perfect 4-0-0 at the AHF’s showcase. Goaltender Aidan Alvino turned aside 60 of the 62 total shots he faced in the four games he started (recording two shutouts) and Luke Isaac recorded ten points as the Aves cruised to four wins.
Rockets Hockey Club
The Rockets stayed red hot this past weekend’s showcase, going 3-1-0. The Rockets were led offensively by Austen Halleran and his seven points in his team’s four games. By bouncing back from a 7-4 loss with a 3-1 win, the team showed it has no problem bouncing back with a well-balanced offense and shutdown defense.
Team Philadelphia
Team Philadelphia find itself in fifth place in U14 AA after a successful showcase performance that saw them go 3-1-0 including a shutout win. Led offensively by Henry Tesoriero and his ten points, the team now sees itself having scored 57 total goals as a team, the third-highest total in U14 AA.
Team Philadelphia
Team Philadelphia woke up this morning in first place in the U14 B division of the Atlantic Hockey Federation. They did this by going 3-1-0 at the showcase this past weekend. The offense came to play, scoring 22 goals in four games all while putting up solid defensive numbers that include a shutout victory. Jayden Shavney shined offensively with six points in four games as his team now boasts the highest-scoring offense in U14 B with 97 total goals.
New Jersey Stars
The Stars came to play this past weekend, going 4-0-0 to stay near the top of the U14 B standings. They performed well on both ends of the ice, allowing no more than two goals a game defensively while scoring no fewer than seven goals a game offensively. Aditya Rath continues to lead the Stars on the attack, registering 11 points in the four games he played in.
Haverford Hawks
The Hawks jumped into third place of the U14 B standings with a 3-0-1 performance at the AHF showcase this past weekend. After dropping a close game in the shoutout to start the showcase off, they were able to bounce back with three straight wins to cap off the weekend. The offense exploded for 16 goals in those three games as they were led by Chase Francis and Rafael Aghababyan who both recorded six points in four games.
Jersey Shore Wildcats Black (Gold)
When your team jumps to 11-0-0 on the season and remains in first place in the U14 A Gold division, you deserve to have your team highlighted. The Wildcats gutted out some close wins as they went 4-0-0 on the weekend with two wins coming in one-goal games. Scoring came from all over the lineup, including a three-goal four-point performance by Vincent Lattarulo who shined in the four games.
Haverford Hawks (Gold)
Haverford came to play this past weekend, going 4-0-0 at the Atlantic Hockey Federations Bantam/PeeWee Showcase. The Hawks’ offense erupted for 25 total goals in the four games while the defense held the fort down, helping Haverford record a shutout win along the way. Andrew Graney led the way offensively with nine points in four games while goaltender Will Zeger turned aside 34 total shots this past weekend, including being in net for the Hawks’ shutout win.
North Jersey Avalanche White (Silver)
The top team in the U14 A Silver division stood tall this past weekend, going 4-0-0 in the team’s four games. The Avs were able to grind out some close wins, including a 3-2 comeback win over the Delaware Ducks that saw North Jersey trail 2-1 entering the third period. The team’s two goaltenders Milo Smith and Gabriel Koerner-Imas shined when the team needed them the most, including getting a shutout win from Koerner-Imas during the showcase.
MYHA 14U LA Gold (Silver)
MYHA went 3-1-0 at this past weekend’s showcase, putting on impressive performances both offensively and defensively. What makes the team’s showcase performance is how they responded to dropping the first game. After a 3-2 loss to open the showcase against the Delaware Ducks, they never let another goal get scored on them the rest of the weekend. That’s right, MYHA recorded three straight shutout wins and scored seven or more goals in each game. The goaltending tandem of Gregory Saffell and Aden Perry gave it their all and helped their team win because of it.

Lex Udell, Grundy Senators
Lex had a breakout showcase, registering seven goals, two assists, and a shootout goal over the course of his three games. He demonstrated a keen ability to anticipate the puck and find soft spots within his opponent’s defense. His patience and poise caused goalies to make mistakes leaving openings for Lex to bury the puck in the back of the net.

Cole Rossback, Maryland Jr. Black Bears Black
Due to a roster shortage, Cole was moved up from his normal defenseman position to forward. Cole has a strong physical presence on the ice due to his size and skill. Cole won more than his share of puck battles and faceoffs. He also has a rocket of a shot that produced two goals over the weekend.

Vonn Krieger, Grundy Senators
Vonn did a yeoman’s job this weekend, skating hard and playing both ways. While scoring two goals in the final game of the showcase weekend, Vonn double-shifted at times to support his team that was short benched. He showed great hockey IQ, blending his physicality and puck awareness to shut opponents down in the neutral zone. His steely nerves and quick hands allowed him to net the game-winning goal in the OT Shootout to close out the final game of the weekend for the Senators.

Kayla Distler, Grundy Senators
Kayla blended her size, speed, and smoothness to put together a very strong weekend. Unintimidated by the physicality of her opponents, Kayla pursued the puck with reckless abandon causing numerous turnovers that led to scoring opportunities for the Senators. As the season has progressed, she has continued to gain confidence and awareness to help elevate her game.

Aditya Rath, New Jersey Stars
Aditya continues to be one of the top point producers in U14 B with a strong showcase performance. He produced nine goals and two assists in four games as the Stars went 4-0-0 and scored 31 goals in that span. Aditya was the spark this offense needed to succeed.

Derek Krizman, Maryland Jr. Black Bears Black
Derek had a great weekend, playing solid defense and supporting the team offensively by scoring a goal. Derek is a physical player with a high defensive IQ. His positioning/angling, decision-making, and puck control make him a top defenseman. Derek is affectionately called “Derek Dangles” by his peers and is capable when he has the puck on his stick.

Brendan Milliken, Grundy Senators
Using his size and reach, Brendan shut down multiple odd-man rushes into his defensive zone. He also displayed effective speed, pushing the puck in transition through the neutral zone, creating excellent transition opportunities for his team. On the power play, Brendan effectively held the blue line, putting multiple shots on net. A stalwart in his own defensive zone, Brendan blocked numerous shots in each of the Showcase games.

Sean Tobin, Team Philadelphia
Team Philadelphia had an outstanding weekend defensively, only allowing two goals in four games. Sean was a big reason for it by making big plays in his own zone to frustrate the opposition. On top of this, he produced offensively as well by scoring a goal and three assists in the four games.

Robert Applegate, North Jersey Aspen Kings Red
Robert played a big role in the Kings’ 4-0-0 record this past weekend. He did a great job of positioning himself well to keep the offense from generating chances and helped out offensively as well. He scored twice during his time at the AHF showcase, showing he can be a threat at both ends of the ice.

Tommy Dayton, Hollydell Hurricanes Black
Tommy proved he can be a great two-way defenseman at the AHF’s most recent showcase, making plays at both ends of the ice. Throughout the showcase, he made excellent plays to break up opposing offense’s opportunities as well as help his own offense as well. In the Canes’ two wins, Tommy recorded three goals and two assists. He scored the game-winning goal late in the third period in a 3-2 win against Brick Hockey Club as well as scoring a goal and two assists in a 5-3 win over North Jersey Skyland Kings White.

Braedon Goloboski, Maryland Jr. Black Bears Black
Braedon plays competitive lacrosse as a goalie and was able to transfer his skills to hockey. He played two games and had a .900 save percentage. Adding to his success, he had a 1-0 shutout win against the North Jersey Skyland Kings White.

Ethan Lannon, Maryland Jr. Black Bears Black
Ethan played goalie once before this weekend, but covered the net for two games and had a .880 save %. What coach wouldn’t love that?! Ethan also contributed offensively, he tallied a goal when he was not in net.

Peter Neveil, Team Philadelphia
Peter was called upon twice to start in between the pipes, and twice he delivered. He recorded two wins including a shutout victory, displaying great vision and reflexes while doing so.

Ashley Randazzo, Brick Hockey Club
Ashley recorded double-digit save totals in every game she started. She ended the showcase on a high note, helping her team to a 1-0 shutout win where she made 17 saves.

Trent Semelko, York Devils
Trent had a successful weekend, contributing seven points in four games. He was able to push the pace offensively as well as defend relentlessly. His speed, grit, and hunger for offensive propelled York’s success this weekend.

Jake McCloud, North Jersey Aspen Kings Blue
Jake showed off his passing abilities at this past weekend’s showcase, recording five assists in four games and even adding a goal. His ability to see the ice and watch plays develop helped him and his team notch a pair of wins.

Daniel McNelis, MYHA Blue
MYHA Blue scored 14 goals in four games and Daniel played a key role in his team’s success. His three goals and seven points led the way for MYHA as they were able to secure two wins at this past weekend’s showcase.

Anthony Brereton, Rockets Hockey Club
The Rockets offense exploded for 20 goals in four games and Anthony played a key role, scoring four goals and five points on the weekend. He showed excellent on-ice vision and a great shot to finish plays.

Luke Isaacs, North Jersey Avalance
Luke had a four-game stretch for the ages this past weekend, scoring five goals and ten points to help the Avs secure four wins. His most clutch performance came in a game against MYHA Blue, where he scored the eventual game-winning goal and an assist to boot in the second period to help his team to a 3-0 win.

Tyler Woodall, York Devils
Tyler shined as a great teammate during York’s showcase performance. Blocking shots as well as contributing offensively, his all-out effort was apparent in all four games he played. Tyler was able to embody the mindset of “playing one shift at a time” which helped him and his team succeed.

Lincoln Walters, New Jersey Stars
He may have only played three games, but Lincoln made his presence known. He was lights out in his own zone and broke up numerous offensive plays by his opponents. On top of this, he was able to record four goals and an assist as he showed off his great shot and passing abilities.

Peter Pereborow, Rockets Hockey Club
Peter showed once again just because you are a defenseman, doesn’t mean you can’t score. He scored four goals in four games, including tying the game in the third period against Team Philadelphia, a goal that would spark his team to a 5-2 win.

Bryton Yoder, Tomorrow’s Ice Selects
Bryton had a productive weekend, scoring two goals and an assist while playing great defense in his own zone. His first period goal against the New Jersey Stars proved to be important, as it sparked his team to a 5-2 win.

Ben Holdsworth, Delaware Ducks
Ben displayed excellent skills both offensively and defensively this past weekend at the most recent AHF showcase. He helped the Ducks to three wins, including one shutout win. He also recorded two goals as well, including the eventual game-winning goal in the third period of a 3-1 win against the Royals Hockey Club.

Aidan Alvino, North Jersey Avalanche
Aidan played like an all-start this past weekend and helped the Avs go 4-0-0 at the showcase. He turned aside 60 of 62 shots and recorded two shutouts to boot, showcasing his excellent vision and puck tracking abilities. Aidan now has four shutouts on the season, tied for most in U14 AA.

Ian Goldberg, Royals Hockey Club
Ian was called upon twice for the Royals to help lead them to a win and both times he delivered. He recorded a shutout to start the showcase and followed it up with a 20 save win the next day.

Adam Paitakis, New Jersey Stars
The Stars went 3-1-0 this past weekend and Adam was a big reason why. He made 62 saves and even recorded his first shutout of the season in a close 2-0 win over the Igloo Jaguars. Adam was confident in the net and it reflected in his play.
