For the week ending on October 23, the Atlantic Hockey Federation (AHF) rankings are in. KRACH is a team’s win/loss ratio multiplied by strength of schedule. These ratings will fluctuate greatly early in the season.
The teams that are in first in each AA division are Ashburn Xtreme 2012 (10U), Ashburn Xtreme 2010 (12U), North Jersey Avalanche (13U), Ashburn Xtreme 08 (14U), Myha AA Gold (15U), Team Philadelphia Black (16U) and Blazers (18U).
For the A division, the top teams in each group are the NJ Bandits Grey (10U Gretzky Division), Royals White (10U Lemieux Division), Southern Maryland Sabres Gold (12U Gretzky), NJ Sportscare Kings Blue (12U Lemieux), Grundy Senators Gold (14U Gretzky), Frederick Freeze LA (14U Lemieux), Lancaster Firebirds Black (16U Gretzky), Delaware Ducks (16U Lemieux) and Wissahickon Warriors Red (18U).

The LI Monarchs 14AAA are on top of the rankings for this week in the Mites category. KRACH Ratings are coming out soon for Full Ice Mite Add On teams.
In November, KRACH ratings will help break up each division into multiple subdivisions. Teams will have the ability to move up and down subdivisions until January. The final subdivision will include the teams in competition for a playoff spot.
Multiple Atlantic Hockey Federation teams are supporting breast cancer in different ways throughout the month of October.
The 10U Gold Southern Maryland Sabres honored one of their very own Sabres Hockey Mom who is currently fighting her battle. Her family was there in support of her and they look to bring awareness to breast cancer for the entire month.
The 14U A White Wissahickon Warriors made an effort to show support for every relative related to the players battling cancer by rocking pink laces for AHF’s October showcase. They also wanted to give back to one of their local organizations called “The Breathing Room Foundation” by making a donation on behalf of their team and club. The Breathing Room’s mission is to “Provide a family with whatever it is that will allow them a bit of “breathing room” from their daily struggle against cancer.” The Warriors hope to share a little bit of their Warrior spirit with all families braving the fight against cancer.
The 16U Royals wore jerseys and honored someone they knew who bravely battling breast cancer on their nameplates.
The Pennsauken Pilots Full Ice Mites AAA team has an event this Sunday, October 30th at Pennsauken Skate Zone. The Pilot hockey team which consists of mites ages six to eight will be wearing their “Ana’s Warriors” jerseys in honor of their biggest “little” fan, Anastasia Condon. Ana is the little sister of the Pilots goalie, Bobby, aka “Baba.” She is 4 years old and born with multiple disabilities that cause her to go through many surgeries due to the uncertainties of her diagnosis.
Every year around mid-August, adult ice hockey players including her dad, take the ice in support of Anastasia. His team’s name is “Ana’s Warriors” and they wear a jersey with Peppa Pig, Ana’s favorite show on the front. They play in a three-day tournament called “Checking for Charity” which led to the Pilots wearing jerseys of their own for the “Pink Out for Ana” game.
The Pennsauken Township Police and Fire Department along with the “original” Ana’s Warriors ice hockey team, will be in attendance to support the Pilots and Anastasia Condon.
While Ana has made big strides, unfortunately her long term prognosis remains unclear. Join them in support of Anastasia and the Pilots by wearing pink or Peppa Pig attire this weekend. Please consider donating to Anastasia Condon and her family, by clicking here.

The Atlantic Hockey Federation is excited for its next guest in the Federation Education Series. This series will feature presentations for our players, families, and coaches on the landscape of hockey along with the Player Advancement Model. The second presentation will feature Craig Barnett, the Executive Director of the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).
Craig Barnett was a part of the 1987 NCAA championship team as a goaltender at Plattsburgh State University in New York. Barnett continued his career playing professionally for the New York Rangers minor league team before becoming a coach. His 15-year coaching career includes coaching at the NCAA I and II levels. After coaching, he worked within athletic administration and has been the Executive Director of the ACHA since 2018.
The American Collegiate Hockey Association, founded in 1991, is the National Governing Body for Non-NCAA Collegiate Hockey throughout the United States. With 461 college and university-affiliated teams representing 48 states and 2 Canadian provinces, the ACHA provides a structure, regulates operations, and promotes the sport of Hockey nationwide.
The AHF is working with the ACHA to invite all players and their families to an exclusive webinar presentation. The presentation will cover collegiate hockey opportunities in the ACHA.

The Atlantic Hockey Federation will be releasing the KRACH rankings. KRACH rankings are a team’s win and loss ratio multiplied by the strength of schedule. Due to the AHF playing an unbalanced schedule and some teams playing a full versus partial season, KRACH will fairly measure each teams rankings.
KRACH rankings will vary in the early part of the season and then normalize as the season progresses and teams play more games. In November, KRACH ratings will help break up each division into multiple subdivisions. Teams will have the ability to move up and down subdivisions until January. The final subdivision will include the teams in competition for a playoff spot.
The AHF will release KRACH on the app weekly on Wednesdays and on the website on Friday. Thus KRACH will be released today, October 19 on our AHF mobile app and this Friday, October 21 on our website.
Be sure to stay tuned for your teams KRACH rankings, as 40% of the teams will make playoffs, and the subdivisions will be finalized in January.
