The Atlantic Hockey Federation is excited for its next guest in the Federation Education Series. This series will feature presentations for our players, families, and coaches on the landscape of hockey along with the Player Advancement Model. The third presentation will feature Apex Learning Virtual School.

Apex Learning Virtual School works on improving your GPA, taking courses to get ahead of your academic success, challenging yourself with classes that interest you, and giving you the flexibility of balancing your academics with your athletics. Apex is a great way to set yourself apart from other students as you look to continue your athletic and academic careers in college!

The AHF is working with Apex to invite all players and their families to an exclusive webinar presentation. The presentation will cover opportunities for online school and how you can take advantage of getting ahead in academics while pursuing your athletic career!

For the week ending on November 20th, the Atlantic Hockey Federation rankings are in. KRACH is a team’s win/loss ratio multiplied by strength of schedule. You can view all rankings here.

The teams that are in first in each AA division are Ashburn Xtreme 2012 (10U), Ashburn Xtreme 2010 (12U), MYHA UA Gold (13U), Ashburn Xtreme 08 (14U), MYHA AA Gold (15U), Team Philadelphia Black (16U) and Philadelphia Blazers (18U).

For the A division, the top teams in each group are the NJ Bandits Grey (10U Gretzky Division), NJ SportsCare Kings Blue (10U Lemieux Division), Southern Maryland Sabres Gold (12U Gretzky), NJ SportsCare Kings Blue (12U Lemieux), Philadelphia Blazers (14U Gretzky), Frederick Freeze LA (14U Lemieux), Lancaster Firebirds Black (16U Gretzky), Delaware Ducks (16U Lemieux) and Wissahickon Warriors Red (18U).

For the B Division, the three teams with the most ratings are Jersey Shore Wildcats Black (10U), Metro Militia (12U), and the MYHA 14U B Blue (14U). The LI Monarchs 14AAA are on top of the rankings for this week in the Mites category. KRACH Ratings are coming out soon for Full Ice Mite Add On teams.

Later this month, KRACH ratings will help break up each division into multiple subdivisions. Teams will have the ability to move up and down subdivisions until January. The final subdivision will include the teams in competition for a playoff spot.

The AHF announces the Players of the Week for the week ending November 20, 2022. The Players of the Week is a weekly feature during the 2022-23 season that honors players in all divisions. Only players that are nominated by their respective teams are considered.

The Atlantic Hockey Federation is excited to announce five new full-season members for the 2023-24 season. These New Jersey Clubs total 72 AA/A/B teams.

The AHF is a USA Hockey Sanctioned Elite Tier-II Youth Hockey League that facilitates games throughout the Mid-Atlantic for its club members and families. The AHF provides high-quality, league games and showcases for over 500 teams in the Mid-Atlantic uniquely catering to its member-owned clubs.

The AHF currently fields youth hockey programs at AA, A and B divisions for the following age groups: the 8U AAA Full Ice, 8U Half Ice, 10U, 12U, 14U, 15U/16U and 18U age levels. The AHF is truly a unique opportunity as each of the Founders and Member clubs operate at all levels of the youth and junior hockey spectrum from Mite thru to Midget at the youth level and from Tier III juniors all the way up to Tier I juniors in the USHL.

The Atlantic Hockey Federation has officially announced their 2023 roster for the Peewee Tournament in Quebec from February 9 to 18, 2023.

There will be 9 forwards, 7 defensemen and 2 goalies on the roster for the 9-day tournament. Over 120 teams will be coming to compete and Palmyra has the most players on the 2023 roster.

Ian Bare (‘10), Gage Bomberger (‘10), Jackson Gladwish (‘10), Grant Krull (‘10), Gabriel Placeres (‘10) and are five of the players representing Palmyra. Team Philadelphia will be represented by Bennett Stanton (‘10) and Logan Wagner (‘10). Tomorrow’s Ice and Blazers also has two athletes on the 2023 roster and they are Nick Cimaszewski (‘11), Cooper Donelson (‘10), Colin Pollock (‘10) and Michael Telegin (‘10). Cole Zagata (‘10) will represent WBS Jr. Knights.
The next six players selected for the Quebec tournament are Cullen Widener (‘11) from York, Grayson Van Raalte (‘11) from Mercer Kings, Brody Sansone (‘10) from NJ Stars, Kurt Ruch (‘10) from Lancaster, Ryan Bland (‘10) from Skylands Kings and Zachary Durkin (‘10) from Lehigh Valley.

Annville, PA – An affiliate of Black Bear Sports Group, Inc. (“Black Bear”) has entered into a definitive
agreement to acquire Klick Lewis Arena in Annville, PA (the “Arena”). The Agreement is subject to
normal course closing conditions. The Arena features three ice sheets, a bar/restaurant, pro shop and a
dedicated gym for its players. The transaction also includes a partnership with the Palmyra Black
Knights (“PBK”), the elite Tier I and Tier II youth hockey program. The Arena is also home to many
figure skaters and recreational skaters in the area along with numerous tournaments due to its proximity
to Hershey, PA. The Sellers were Harold and Chad Weaver, Founders of H.R. Weaver Building
Systems and the creators/developers of the Arena. Antoine Bergeron, hockey director and the architect
of the growth of the Palmyra Black Knights, will continue to lead the club and will assume a senior role
with Black Bear. Black Bear, the largest owner-operator of ice rinks in the U.S., was founded by CEO
Murry Gunty in 2015.

“It has been a great honor to build and own Klick Lewis as it is an important part of our community,” said
Chad Weaver, Owner of H.R. Weaver Building Systems and owner of Klick Lewis Arena. “When we
first conceived of the idea for the rink, we never could have imagined it would become such a popular

The Atlantic Hockey Federation had its second showcase this past weekend for 12U A and 12U B. 161 games were played among 81 teams at this showcase. Here are some standout teams from this past weekend.

Maryland Jr Black Bears White 12U A (12-2-0): The Maryland Black Bears White went 2-2 on the weekend against Valley Forge, NJ Stars, Metro Militia, and the Long Island Rebels. Jackson Crigger had five goals for the team which brought him up to 45 points this season.

Metro Militia 12U B (12-0): Metro Militia had a strong showcase weekend going 4-0 which brought them to a 12-0 undefeated record. Michael Russo led the Militia to a season-high of four goals in one game against Tomorrow’s Ice North Stars Red on Sunday, November 6.

Jersey Shore Wildcats Black 12U B (11-1): The Jersey Shore Wildcats Black team had an undefeated showcase weekend outscoring their opponents by a score of 20-8. The Wildcats had eight different players score and Parker Bell led the team with five goals in four games.
