The Atlantic Hockey Federation (AHF) is excited to welcome teams from across the East Coast as the Stars and Stripes Invitational Showcase begins today. This weekend marks the first showcase of the season, promising thrilling competition and showcasing the talent of young hockey players in various age groups.

Hitting the ice this weekend are teams in the 10U, 12U, 14U, and 16U age levels, divided into divisions honoring some of hockey’s greatest legends: Lemieux, Gretzky, and McDavid. The showcase will feature the following divisions:

Fans and families can stay up-to-date with all the games and results by visiting our Game Center on the AHF website, where live scores, standings, and schedules will be regularly updated throughout the weekend. 

In addition to the excitement on the ice, Carmo Photography will be present at the 10U Lemieux, 14U Gretzky, and 12U McDavid showcases to capture the action and memorable moments. Be sure to check out their photographs to see the highlights of the games.

The Atlantic Hockey Federation (AHF) is excited to announce the commencement of the 2024-25 season, officially starting today, August 16th. As anticipation builds across the hockey community, over 50 organizations will compete under the AHF banner this year, featuring more than 600 teams across 20+ divisions, spanning from New York to Virginia to Pennsylvania.

Throughout the season, teams will participate in three highly anticipated showcases, leading up to the season’s pinnacle events: the All-Star Game in December and the Championships in February and March. The first showcase is scheduled for August 23-25th, where the 10U-14U Lemieux, Gretzky, and McDavid Divisions, as well as the 16U Lemieux and Gretzky Divisions, will compete across the East Coast.

Please note that the Atlantic Hockey Federation does not have a formal agreement with any streaming service. Streaming is managed by individual rinks, each selecting its partner. However, starting September 16, 2024, AHF games played at the following venues will be streamed exclusively on Black Bear TV. We encourage you to contact the rinks directly to confirm their specific video streaming options.

The Atlantic Hockey Federation is proud to announce that six standout players from our league have committed to play AAU Hockey for Penn State University – Harrisburg. This exciting development underscores the talent and dedication present in our league and highlights the pathway we provide for our athletes to advance their hockey careers.

Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth

From the Lehigh Valley Phantoms Youth, three players will be donning the Penn State – Harrisburg Lions jersey next season:

Tom Piripavel: A versatile forward, Piripavel played 37 games for the Phantoms, tallying 5 goals and 6 assists for a total of 11 points. 

Garrett Wolfe: As a goaltender, Wolfe brought stability and skill between the pipes for the Phantoms. He played in 19 games last season, achieving a 10-8-1 record. 

Ian Brouse: Brouse had an impressive season with the Phantoms, scoring 24 goals and adding 7 assists over 36 games, amassing 31 points. 

NJ Avalanche

Kevin Zidiak: Zidiak joins the Lions from the NJ Avalanche, where he played in 22 games, scoring a goal and providing two assists for a total of three points. 

Allegheny Badgers

Carter Cherok: Cherok’s performance with the Allegheny Badgers saw him play in 8 games, scoring three goals and assisting on five others for eight points. 

Ashburn Xtreme

Daniel McConchie: McConchie comes to the Lions after a stellar season with the Ashburn Xtreme. He played in 34 games, scoring 26 goals and 22 assists for an impressive 48 points. 

The Penn State University – Harrisburg Lions compete in Division 2 of AAU College Hockey and are part of the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference (DVCHC). They are coming off a conference championship-winning season, and the addition of these six talented players from the Atlantic Hockey Federation will bolster their roster as they strive to defend their title.

We wish Tom Piripavel, Garrett Wolfe, Ian Brouse, Kevin Zidiak, Carter Cherok, and Daniel McConchie the best of luck as they continue their hockey journeys with Penn State – Harrisburg. Their hard work and dedication have earned them this opportunity, and we look forward to watching them succeed at the collegiate level.

Are you ready to lace up your skates and take on an incredible opportunity? The Atlantic Hockey Federation is thrilled to announce tryouts for our select team heading to the prestigious Quebec International Peewee Tournament. Held from February 12th to February 23rd, 2024, this tournament is renowned worldwide, and we want you to be a part of it!

The Quebec International Hockey Tournament is one of the most prestigious minor hockey tournaments globally, attracting over 120 teams from around the world. Each year, players have the chance to compete at the impressive 18,000-seat Videotron Center, as well as participate in exhibition games and practices at partner arenas. It’s an unforgettable experience that allows young athletes to showcase their skills on an international stage.

To assemble our competitive team, the AHF is hosting tryouts for all players born in 2012 and 2013 who will play on an AHF team in the upcoming 2024-2025 season.

Open Tryout for Birth Years 2012-13

Players must attend a minimum of one full day but are welcome to participate in both. The selection process involves Open Tryouts, where players will be chosen to advance to the Main Tryout on August 10th. From the Main Tryout, the final team members will be selected.

Atlantic Hockey Federation is pleased to announce the start of AHF Officiating Program. The officiating program launched May 2024 and open to anyone in the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA) District.

The goals and objectives are to increase the officiating pool for the 2024-25 season along with a comprehensive classes, games and evaluations.

The AAHA District Officiating Program will also provide training for The USA Hockey Officiating Certification, which will allow the officials to work during the spring and summer tournaments.

This program will enable you to work with experienced officials and build a solid foundation so you can officiate in the 2024 -25 season.

There is more than just officiating games and being compensated for your efforts, officiating will also develop life skills that will help you outside of hockey, leadership skills, communication, managing people, and conflict resolution.

The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) and its tuition-free National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC) have open spots at the 2024 USPHL NCDC Combine Series. Taking place in Chicago (May 11-12) and Boston (May 18-19), this series offers a unique opportunity for 15U-18U players to showcase their skills.

With over 6,000 alumni in college hockey and more than 3,500 players competing annually, the USPHL stands as a leading pathway to collegiate hockey. Through the NCDC, USPHL Premier, and USPHL Elite, players have forged successful careers in college hockey like no other league at the Tier II and Tier III levels.

Limited spots are available for Atlantic Hockey Federation forwards and defensemen, so act fast to secure your place. Unfortunately, all goalie spots have been filled.

Players born between Jan. 1, 2004, and Dec. 31, 2008, are eligible to participate. Registration for each Combine is non-refundable at $325. This investment offers players the chance to showcase their talents in front of NCDC and USPHL Premier coaches, opening doors to future opportunities in college hockey.

Participants can expect a minimum of three scrimmage games, providing valuable playing experience. Additionally, each Combine will feature an informational seminar where players can learn more about the USPHL Development Model and its benefits.
