The Atlantic Hockey Federation (AHF) is excited to announce the release of the first KRACH rankings for the 2024-25 season. As teams hit the ice and competition heats up, the KRACH system offers a clear view of how teams are performing, based on both their win/loss record and the strength of their opponents.

KRACH, short for Ken’s Ratings for American College Hockey, is a statistical model that adjusts team rankings by factoring in not just wins and losses, but also the difficulty of a team’s schedule. This makes it one of the most balanced ways to measure team performance across divisions. A team’s KRACH ranking is essentially a multiplier of their win/loss ratio and their strength of schedule.

The AHF KRACH rankings will be updated weekly, with new rankings available every Monday night at 5 pm. Teams and fans can view the full list of rankings on the AHF Game Center. To learn more about how KRACH works, click [here].

Ryker, a 2018 player, went out for his first two games as a speedy little player. He had plenty of shots and close chances but was able to find the back of the net six times, leaving a few rebounds for his team to clean up.

“He’s a first-year goalie who fought through and made some amazing saves and helped give his team their first W with the Philadelphia Blazers. He has to be one of the funniest kids I know, always shows up to the rink with a funny story, big hugs, and a great attitude.”

The Atlantic Hockey Federation is hosting its first-ever event in Minnesota, the State of Hockey. From September 13-15th, AA teams in the 14U to 18U divisions will take to the ice in the Minneapolis area, competing in what promises to be a weekend of high-level action.

This landmark event brings AHF teams to the heart of one of the most storied hockey regions in the country, where players will face off in fast-paced matchups and showcase their skills in front of scouts, fans, and hockey enthusiasts. With divisions ranging from 14U to 18U, this Minnesota Showcase is a fantastic opportunity for teams to challenge themselves against top-tier competition in the early stages of the season.

He always comes off the ice with a smile and has earned the utmost respect from his coaches and teammates.

In addition to Caleb having an amazing weekend with points, Caleb has lifted the entire team and has made every player on the team better by contributing as a 2-way player. Every player on the team looks up to him, not because of his ability to score, but because he works hard on the backcheck and forecheck. His work ethic on the ice has inspired every player on the team to work just as hard, an effect that is hard to coach and led to two wins this weekend. Caleb deserves this honor not just for his talent, but for the positivity he brought to the bench even when we were losing, leading to a close come-from-behind win!

The Atlantic Hockey Federation (AHF) is excited to welcome teams from across the East Coast as the Stars and Stripes Invitational Showcase begins today. This weekend marks the second showcase of the season and the first for the AA, 18U, and 9U Divisions, promising thrilling competition and showcasing the talent of young hockey players in various age groups.

Hitting the ice this weekend are teams in the AA Division from 9U-18U as well as 18U Gretzky and Full Ice Mite Divisions.

Fans and families can stay up-to-date with all the games and results by visiting our Game Center on the AHF website, where live scores, standings, and schedules will be regularly updated throughout the weekend. You can also catch all the live action from the 18U Gretzky division on BlackBear TV live from Ice Vault in New Jersey.

In addition to the excitement on the ice, Carmo Photography will be at the Full Ice Mite AAA showcases at Ice Land Skating Center and ProSkate Arena, both in New Jersey.

The Atlantic Hockey Federation (AHF) is excited to announce the commencement of the 2024-25 season, officially starting today, August 16th. As anticipation builds across the hockey community, over 50 organizations will compete under the AHF banner this year, featuring more than 600 teams across 20+ divisions, spanning from New York to Virginia to Pennsylvania.

Throughout the season, teams will participate in three highly anticipated showcases, leading up to the season’s pinnacle events: the All-Star Game in December and the Championships in February and March. The first showcase is scheduled for August 23-25th, where the 10U-14U Lemieux, Gretzky, and McDavid Divisions, as well as the 16U Lemieux and Gretzky Divisions, will compete across the East Coast.

Please note that the Atlantic Hockey Federation does not have a formal agreement with any streaming service. Streaming is managed by individual rinks, each selecting its partner. However, starting September 16, 2024, AHF games played at the following venues will be streamed exclusively on Black Bear TV. We encourage you to contact the rinks directly to confirm their specific video streaming options.
