Time to Score FAQs

Q: What is Time to Score and why is AHF using it?

Time to Score (TTS) is an integrated scoring and league management platform designed to streamline operations and improve the experience for players, parents, coaches and fans. The AHF adopted TTS because, as our league continues to grow, we need a more efficient system that streamlines scoring, delivers real-time stats and standings, and creates a better experience for everyone at the rink.

Q: What are the main benefits for parents, players, and coaches?

  • Integrated Rosters: Player registration connects directly to stats and standings.
  • Smarter Scoring: Built-in rules and logic make scoring more accurate and efficient.
  • Simplified Scoring: One person can both score and run the clock, improving efficiency.
  • Enhanced Fan Experience: AI-powered in-game announcements and music keep everyone engaged and having fun.(add-on for rinks)
  • Coming Soon: Strength of Schedule, KRACH Rankings, and
  • Mobile Apps Coming Soon: Each AHF league will have a new native app for scores, standings, and stats.

Q: Have there been issues during the transition to Time To Score?

As with any new platform or technology, there are going to be some bumps along the way.

Some of the issues identified and currently being fixed are:

  • Schedules not displaying correctly for crossover and cross-ice mite games.
  • Missing games and difficulties integrating tournaments into the regular season.
  • Top scorers and goalies displaying in the wrong divisions.
  • Save percentage displaying as the only goalie stat.
  • Game scoreboard view showing all games.
  • Player profile links not working properly.

We appreciate your patience as we work closely with the TTS team to ensure everything functions as intended. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to the AHF league office with further feedback at staff@atlantichockeyfederation.com.

Despite these growing pains, we want to note that the vast majority of the games are going extremely well and we expect that to continue as our teams learn the new system and we iron out any issues.

Q: Can we still use the old scoring system?

AHF has fully transitioned to Time to Score system during the 2025-26 season. We know it can feel daunting to learn a new platform but Time to Score will make scoring more efficient, reduce manual work, provide real-time stats and standings, and create a better overall experience for players, families, and coaches. We have simply outgrown our old scoring system.

Q: What happens if the system goes down during a game?

During this transition, it is recommended that scorekeepers have the ability to keep a written scoresheet as backup so that game events can be entered into the system after the game.

Q: What do I need to set up my scoreboard with Time to Score?

Rinks need to contact Time to Score to integrate with their scoreboards.

Q: When will the mobile apps launch?

Mobile apps for each AHF league are coming shortly! They’ll allow parents and players to view live scores, track player stats, and get real-time game updates. Download links and details will be shared when the apps go live.

Q: When will Strength of Schedule and KRACH rankings be available?

These advanced features will be launched in the next month and will give teams and fans a more accurate measure of team performance and playoff positioning.

Q: How can I learn to use TTS? Are there any demos or training resource available?

AHF has provided training sessions for scorekeepers and rink managers and will continue sharing guides and resources to make sure everyone feels comfortable using TTS. If you’d like access to training materials or have questions, please check the leadership portal or go to: Time To Score, Inc. Tutorial - Full Version
