Ashburn Xtreme

The Xtreme is undefeated and has been dominant in doing so, starting off the season with three straight wins while scoring ten or more goals. Ashburn is 6-0-0 overall and have outscored its opponents 57 to 12, the largest goal differential in U10 A. Led by Gehrett Mussel and his 12 points, the offense has shown its true colors by boasting ten players averaging at least a point-per-game.

MYHA Blue

MYHA Blue enters the showcase with a 6-2-0 record and is the only other team besides the Xtreme to score a total of over 50 goals as a team with 52. It has a very deep offensive unit that has four players with ten or more points, including point leader Jonathan Holcomb with 14.

Jersey Shore Wildcats National

The Wildcats head into the weekend with a 5-1-0 record and have put up impressive numbers in doing so. Its nine goals against is the fewest goals allowed as a team amongst teams with six or more games played. Goaltender Marco Stulic has been a force in between the pipes, posting a .900 save percentage and a 1.5 goals-against average, good enough to be top five in each category amongst U10 A goalies.

Delaware Ducks

The Ducks are a team that not only can put the puck in the back of the net, but they also sport one of the league’s best defenses. Its 14 goals against are the second-lowest total amongst teams that have played six or more games. The offense is just as lethal as the defense, with six players averaging a point per game or more.

Team Philadelphia

Team Philadelphia has started the season by winning four of its first five games. It not only has gotten great performances by its goaltending and defense, but the offense has been deadly. The depth of Team Philadelphia’s scoring has been excellent with eight players with at least two goals on the year so far. Joey Kiss has led the way for his team so far with five goals and seven points.

North Jersey Aspen Kings Grey: Being in the top-three of the standings, North Jersey showed plenty of teamwork with 10 players having at least a point this season. Landon Brookes (17g, 2a), Dylan Branigan (8g, 7a), and Brady Shetler (6g, 6a) are all in double-digits for points, while goalie Jackson Maloney has six wins on the season in his seven starts. With a balanced attack and everyone on the team contributing, the Aspen Kings Grey squad should be prepared for a solid showing this weekend.

Montgomery Youth Hockey Blue: With three straight wins in AHF play, Montgomery is riding a solid wave of success. While Jacob Guzman and Eric Myers have produced goals up-front, John Jacobs and Larry Du have provided just as much from the blue line. All four have four or more goals this season, while also helping limit the shots on net in their defensive end. In this three-game win streak, Montgomery has outpaced their opponents by a score of 15-4, which should help them going into the Showcase weekend.

North Jersey Bandits Red: The Bandits Red team offers a good look at variety in their team. While only playing four games, 13 players have scored at least one goal, and 10 players have scored multiple goals. Conor Madigan and Raffaele Macchiavello lead the way with five goals a piece, as goalie Matt Cook has a 2.75 GAA in his four games. The Bandits should give teams fits with their ability to produce offense up and down the bench, as well as be responsible in their own end to keep the puck out.

Tomorrow’s Ice North Stars White: With five straight wins, the North Stars White crew come into the showcase with plenty of confidence. Connor Derenick leads the way with 17 goals, but the team has been able to spread out the scoring with 10 other players having a goal in the team’s six games of AHF competition. Lukas Elek and Tomas Ancinec have been swapping roles in goal to success, while also being able to skate out when they aren’t suited up between the pipes.

Philadelphia Blazers: Undefeated in AHF play, the Blazers have plenty of scoring to go around in their line-up with two players– Kayden Wetherell (18) and Johnny Stokes (16)– in the teens for goals. But it’s not all offense, as their defense has taken care of business as well. Allowing only ten shots on goal a game, it has allowed Quinn Donofry to have a 1.43 GAA after seven games this season.

Ashburn Rebels: The Rebels have played solidly in all of their games this season. Graydon Powers and Travis Brecht have led the way in goal-scoring, but John RipkeBrodie DeVelli, and Henry Povlich have done a great job getting them the puck in prime scoring areas. Ashburn has been solid on the defensive side as well with only 11 goals-against in their four match-ups.

Patriot Selects: With only one game of AHF action, the Selects have shown the ability to move the puck around, with six players notching a point in the game– Patrick KnoxJustin Jackson, and Connor McGovern having a multi-point. On top of that, they only surrendered one goal, which shows they don’t skimp on the defensive side of the puck.

West Chester Wolverines: Things may have not been easy for the Wolverines, but they’ve stuck to it and kept grinding. Maksim SoumisJacob CleaverJoey GilbertArchie Strode, and Connor Oddo all have registered points for the team. They have kept to their game plan and played hard, showing the spirit of the game when they’re on the ice.

Hollydell Selects: Hollydell has played two tight games under the AHF banner. Roman Weed (3g, 1a) and Joseph Mastalski (1g, 2a) have shown off their offensive prowess, while Elvis Settlemyre has held his own between the pipes. With more games in this showcase to come, Hollydell will surely have many more players ready to get on the scoresheet and have a successful weekend.

Three New Competitors: This Showcase also welcomes three new competitors who haven’t played in the AHF this season. Hard Edge SelectsAspen Aviators, and Pennsauken Pilots join in on the party this weekend, which should add to the solid competition we’ve seen already in the Mite B Division.

Ashburn Xtreme

When a team outscores its opponents 79-18 in just ten games, it’s definitely a team to keep an eye on. The Ashburn Xtreme boasts the most lethal offense in U10 AA. The team has five players who average at least a point per game and two who average a goal a game. The Xtreme is led by Cohen Polley, the U10 AA leader in goals (25) and points (33) who has already recorded six hat tricks on the season with four of those being in four-goal games.

Boasting eight players averaging a point per game or higher, the team’s offense complements its defense very well and makes them a team to look out for heading into the weekend.

North Jersey Aspen Kings Blue

The Kings enter the showcase 4-0-0 and have been spectacular on both sides of the ice. Outscoring its opponents 32-2 in those four games, the team is well round and boasts a deadly offense and a shutdown defense. New Jersey Outlaws

The Outlaws have only hit the ice once this season, but they won in dominating fashion. In that game, they topped the North Jersey Blizzard by a 13-0 margin. The squad totaled eight goals on 21 shots in the second period during the impressive showing. Rocco Luppino scored four goals and added an assist to lead the team, with all four goals coming in that second period. Aaralyn Shen also netted a hat trick while five others added multi-point games, including three assists from Elias Bain. This team has dangerous chemistry that will be tough to fracture.

.

North Jersey Blizzard

Bouncing back from that tough loss to the Outlaws to open the season, the Blizzard got back on track with a 17-2 win over the Iceland Hamilton Huskies. They exploded out of the gates for 10 goals on only 15 shots in the first period. Jaxon Ott netted a hat trick and added an assist while Kyle Hauser recorded two goals and two assists to lead the team on the scoresheet. Four others had multi-goal games for the Blizzard in the win. The team has good scoring talent throughout the roster and can compete against any team when they create ample scoring opportunities.

If you want a powerhouse team, that’s exactly what you will find with the Rebels. Through only three games, the team has racked up 70 (SEVENTY) goals and recorded a goal differential of +66 en route to a 3-0-0 record. They won two games by a 20-goal margain, including a 27-0 win over Hollydell. Sebastian Northup has 14 goals and an assist, averaging three points-per-game. Two other players on the roster also have double-digit goal tallies. In net, Emily King has been rock solid, putting up a stellar GAA of 1.33 after starting all three games. There doesn’t seem to be any stopping this dominant force in the Mite division.

.

Rockets Hockey Select

The Rockets have won each of their first two games, holding a 2-0-0 record with a goal differential of +4. It took a third period game-winner by Justin Yafimau to earn a 4-3 win over the North Jersey Blizzard in the team’s season opener, but the Rockets jumped out to a 5-1 lead over Jersey Shore after the first period in their next game, holding on to win 8-5. David Zhang leads the team in goals (3) and points (4), but each are very evenly distributed throughout the team’s starters. The team’s depth will play to their advantage as the year rolls on.

.

They topped in-state rival North Jersey 6-2 to begin the season, thanks to a four-goal second period. Although they fell to the Rockets in their second game, they managed to score five more goals in an 8-5 loss. Connor Cyr and Rob McCarthy each have two goals on the season while Adam Davino’s three points leads the team.
